When we arrived there were soooo many people. It was unreal. There was quite a wait due to how many people showed up- but by the holy ghost- it was so worth. Everything looked and smelled divine. As a Midwestern born and raised- they definitely call it soul food for a reason- because my soul was definitely wined and dined and taken to the next level. Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. The pork steak is delectable and all of the sides are cooked and seasoned to perfection. The only thing I needed was a little salt because im a salty gal, but the flavors were beautiful. Truly a work of art- go check these folks out!!!

Yesterday in Lincoln, food truck was open from 2 pm to 10 pm. Me and my two neighbors decided to support the business by buying food. We put our order in a total of 74.00 three orders. 5:20 was when we ordered. It took until 5 mins to 7pm when all our orders were handed to us. Other's who come after us, got their orders before us. Still a wait.
There should be a time limit no longer than 10 to15 minutes waiting for your food. Also, let customers know if their food would take longer than that.
My fish was chewy and fries over cooked. I couldn't tell or taste if it really was Catfish.

This was my first time trying the food. The service is SOUTHERN and second to none. Marlina and her family are authentically hospitable. The food was SUPERB! I ordered the catfish and chicken platter. The serving sizes were HUMONGOUS! I will definitely be back again. Blessings! Pastor Janet Goodman Banks.

I picked M&J's for my birthday dinner. There were 11 of us in our group, I'm glad there were because that meant we all got to share. Both of my brother's are professional chefs. One brother said it perfectly, "There's not a single thing that wasn't excellent. Not just good, but excellent."
Fried chicken, awesome. Catfish, awesome. Country fried steak, awesome. Cinnamon corn, GET IT! Baked beans, amazing. Mac n' cheese, awesome.
It's a family place which is fun and has a few quirks (I had Kool aid for my beverage.) But that adds to the charm. The service was a little slow but that posed no problem for us because everything was worth the wait. The ONLY negative thing I would say is that the texture of the cabbage was too soft for two members of our party. That's ok because it meant more for the rest of us to devour. At the end of the meal the only person that needed a box was my third grade niece. Truth be told we were more than willing to finish off her chicken and waffles and Mac n' cheese for her, but her dad wanted to get the leftovers home for himself! We went early and I'm glad we did because it filled up quickly after 5. We will be back at the first possible opportunity. It
