Sakura | Japanese Restaurant & Ramen offers a beautiful, elegant, and modern interior with a calming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly attentive, friendly, and provides excellent service. The sake selection is superb, including a sake flight where guests can try five different kinds. Popular appetizers include the Mango Crab Rangoons, Gyoza, and Edamame. The Chicken Breast Yakitori has good flavor but needs some char. The Pork Katsu Curry is a favorite, though the rice was sometimes overcooked. The Tantanmen and Shoyu Ramen are phenomenal, and the Miso Tuskemen is highly recommended. The Salmon Hibachi offers salmon that melts in the mouth, and the homemade banana pudding is a delight. The curry chicken katsu could be improved by cutting against the grain and using a coarser panko. Food portions were noticeably smaller than expected, which was a bit disappointing. The dining room could use rearranging to be more welcoming for smaller parties. Overall, the restaurant provides a delightful atmosphere, a unique menu, and friendly staff. It is great for a date night or special occasion, and guests plan to return for the ambiance and service.
