The food was great! They were a little slow and they totally forgot the chicken wings, but hey, they're new. We will go back.

This Canteen does not exist any more. Update your information on Google. Now it is a greasy spoon with everything fried. Not very appealing, we walked out.

The restaurant was not busy and the service was very slow, had to chase down the waitress to get our ticket. My husband had the 2 piece chicken dinner, asked for a breast and then a piece of dark meat, he got 2 very small pieces of chicken,. when he questioned her about it, she then,..at that time, chose to tell him that they could not pick their pieces of chicken. My husband then asked for ketchup for the steak fries, never got that. My son got chicken wings, he enjoyed them, they had just the right amount of sauce. I got a garden salad with grilled chicken on it, and it was, unfortunately,.. not enjoyable. I had no idea where the chicken went! After we went to find out ticket to pay, the waitress informed us that she "felt bad, and had a chicken breast in the making"! But that was never communicated to us, so we did end up walking out with a chicken breast. The staff, did try to make it right, but first impressions are hard to beat, especially if they are bad. Don't think that we will be back,.but we do wish them well.

The parking lot is empty for a reason! Just DON'T!!!! McDonalds isn't far and I'm sure the food is better. We were there for 1 hour before they took our food order, I had to ask for the beer that was ordered. Our food came out individually, we ordered a hamburger, our son had a steak, and I order the "special" Taco. TACOS we horrible along with cold. I’m also fairly sure the owner or manager walked by several times and never addressed the obvious missing food and unhappy customers. The bar tender or other waitress had slippers on? Maybe this is the first time the have ever worked in the food industry.I know this is brutal but as a small business owner this isn’t anything I would ever tolerate as an owner.Guys.....I'm not a picky eater but I'll take a bologna and cheese over this.

Stopped in while traveling from Las Vegas back to Michigan. We had stopped in Glenwood Colorado & could not find a restaurant that had crab legs or lobster. We happened to find this gem. The duck wings, crab legs, lobster, & prime rib were amazing. We are absolutely glad we stopped in. Even the service & drinks were amazing!

Stopped for gas in North Platte on a long road trip and googled “gluten-free” to find a place for Sunday lunch. This seemed very unlikely — a restaurant attached to a Ramada — but it was indeed extremely GF/celiac-friendly. The chef was manning the brunch buffet and explained all the options — the pasta was the only thing not GF. The food was good too. Between the 4 of us we had butter chicken, roast potatoes, green beans, beef stroganoff, beef goulash, French onion soup, a made-to-order omelette, and a few desserts. Butter chicken (Indian style) was the biggest hit. All the staff was super friendly and attentive. The restaurant, although somewhat dated-looking, was all decked out for Valentine’s Day and they handed out roses to all the diners! It was a little pricey ($20/person), at least for us because we don’t eat a ton even at all-you-can-eat buffets. But the staff and the service completely made our day.

Dietary restrictions: Chef was super knowledgeable about gluten free — nearly everything on the Sunday buffet was GF, even things usually thickened with flour (he uses cornstarch).

Arrived at 5pm to eat an early dinner before an event at the Sandhills Convention Center located in the building. There was only one other group dining when we arrived. The Server asked if the six of us wanted a booth along the wall that clearly seems like a four-person booth. We asked for a table because we didn't think we'd fit in the booth. The Server pushed two tables together and said she'd "deal with us" in a minute. It took her a little bit to come back and she then asked if we were ready to order. We had to request drinks and then went ahead and put our orders in. Bar tender came about 30 minutes later - explaining that they didn't have any draft beer... took some additional drink orders and brought bottled beer right back. Server then arrived at 5:45 to tell us that they were completely out of their prime rib special (at 5:45pm on a Saturday eve!). We questioned why it took 45 minutes to tell us they were out and explained that we were attending the event 7pm. We asked how quickly we'd get food if we were just putting an order in at 5;45. Server promised 20 minutes...25 minutes max. So the three individuals put in new orders...two steaks and one butter chicken (which the Server said was already made). We had to flag down a manager to ask about the water and salads that hadn't yet made it to our table at after 6pm. We explained to the manager that we were attending the event and were concerned our about time. No apology from the manager. Only a fleeting comment that "people don't want to work". A few additional tables had been seated - but they weren't busy by any means. If they were short staffed (maybe in the kitchen?) a quick warning when we came in or even when we expressed concern at 5:45 when re-placing orders would have been the right thing to do.We went to the bar to order more drinks because our Server was not checking in to fill water, bring refills, or provide updates on our meals. Bartender brought drinks right over.By 6:40 we had to ask about our food. We were told it was ready and she'd bring it right out. At 6:45pm, the Server returned to say she was sorry - but it was still in process and not yet ready. We had to leave and had to request that the drinks were comped - as there was no offer from the Server to do so. She obliged and did apologize at that point. Two other tables of guests had left at this point, one without ever getting drinks or menus and the other after hearing that they were out of prime rib well after ordering. We then moved over to the Convention Center for Comedy Night. They had one bar tender and a long line. They were out of two items I tried ordering from list (Blue Moon and Cut Water Margarita) prior to the show beginning. Bar tender tried over-charging me by $1.I've attended many events at this location when it was under old management. It's extremely disappointing that such a nice large facility has gone downhill with regard to service. I would be very cautious booking any event out there.

Service was terribly slow. Food came out one plate at a time with the last plate coming out after the rest of the table had ate. Would definitely not recommend. Very unprofessional staff. Sad to see a “staple” in North Platte be ran into the ground like this.
