What a hidden gem! Hidden in the small city of North Platte, where a Cuban restaurant isn’t standard burger/steak fare. Happened in on a cross country trip, looking for good food and atmosphere. Hit the jackpot. Owner Javier gave us the lowdown. It’s authentic Cuban owned by a Cuban family that relocated to North Platte in 2010. My El Cubano sandwich was delicious, fresh and way more than a delectable mouthful. The chicken on my son’s Pollo con Salza fell off the bones and kept him licking his chops till done.

absolutely delicious food!!! for those who have never had cuban food previously, know that the food is extremely favorful • it is not spicy hot. we went today for our anniversary. platanoes rellenos - plaintain cups filled with shrimp creole,and 2 others stuffed with ropa vieja!!! omg so good! pescado frito - whole fried red snapper served with white rice, black beans and salad - so delicious! we ended it with a cafecito cubano. javier our waiter was very pleasant, professional and informative. the cook is phenomenal! (they have weekday lunch specials) north platte and beyond • you will eat well if you come here and you would be supporting a local family business.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺 went yesterday for a birthday dinner and it was outstanding! we really enjoy this restaurant!

This place rocks! Here for work from Texas and stopped here for lunch. Started with the fried yuca, great texture and flavor. For my main meal, I had the shredded beef dish with rice, black beans, and plantains. The plantains were sweet and caramelized. The beef had awesome flavors.

Road tripping to Omaha from Denver and my Dad found El Mojito which was fantastic! What an amazing surprise! I have had mojitos in Puerto Rico and the mojitos Javier made were as good or better. 🍹🍋🟩 The fried whole fish 🐠 🍋was so excellent we ordered another! I loved the decor 🌴🌺 and music, 🎶 . The service was professional, and we will definitely be back! Killer Caipirihna too! 🍋🟩🍋🟩🍋🟩🍹 oh yes and delicious sizzling shrimps 🦐🦐🦐too! Came to the table boiling hot!

Stopped in kinda by accident while roadtripping across the US. Wanted something different than standard roadside fast food and this place delivered!! Wish I could have spent more time here, and had the ability to try everything! We had the Cuban tamale (awesome!) and the Cuban sandwich (phenomenal!) Well worth the little detour off the highway—North Platte has a gem with this one!
