Thus was very pleasant stop. We only stopped for the root beer. I was a little disappointed that they no longer have it on tap. Which was the whole reason we stopped. Although my son found the root beer to be amazing an guzzled his medium down in 20 mins.

It's a local favorite in the gas station on highway 30. Every time I go, they are so slow, even with few customers. Expect at LEAST 20 minutes to get your order. It's pricey for fast food. $17.49 for a 5 piece chicken tender meal with fries & drinks. However, they have daily specials & the food is good. Monday they had a 3 piece tender meal for 9.99. I forget the burger prices. The employees are always very nice & the place seems well maintained.

Never thought I’d be reviewing food from a drive thru attached to a gas station, but we almost didn’t come because of the bad reviews so I figured I’d do my part to counteract those. This was 4 minutes off of the beaten path for us (traveling on I-80 W) but it was worth the slight detour! The employee who helped us was suuuuper upbeat and kind and the service was typical fast food speed (nothing like the horror stories I read about in some reviews). The mini corn dogs (the reason for our visit) were delicious! Totally lived up. Just a good change up from burgers & chicken when on a long trip. AND as a fun bonus, we saw several fireworks being set off in the neighborhood so we got a show as we drove through (we were there on New Year’s Eve). 10/10 would recommend.
