“Picked up a take-out order of Crab Rangoon, Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef and steamed rice. We asked for the Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef to be made extra spicy. Both tasted so good and the Rangoon was very tasty as well. Everything was delicious and we would definitely try more. The service was quick and the guy who helped us when we arrived was friendly and had a good sense of humor.”
“Great food at a reasonable price. Went here twice during a road trip because of how good it was. The green chile sauce was absolutely incredible as well. Gotta get the burritos smothered too!”
“RARE GEM FOR THE AREA! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! While on a cross country road trip I looked up a place to eat while I was in the area and was surprised to find such a fancy place in a low population area. I pulled into the restaurant and was not disappointed as it was very nice, clean & premium appointed all throughout. All the staff was extremely nice, kind, helpful & attentive. I wanted something light and the Owner was nice enough to personally make me a "Paneer salad" which I found extremely delicious!”
“Enjoyed great food and service! Definitely worth the drive past the fast food near I-80! Not much farther for fresh, hot homemade food served with a smile! Both the Cuban and the Ham & Eggs were delicious!”
“Great western country place. Super staff. Best Arby's food ever! Enjoyed our stop definitely stopping again going to and from Denver. I'll go hungry tovest here. No coffee tho.”
“Absolutely lovely! Food was good, staff was friendly and exceptionally helpful, and service was quick. Can't wait to stop by again the next time I pass through Ogallala.”
“Food was good. Service acceptable, place was clean. Simple hometown atmosphere. In short what was promised was delivered. Give them a chance if you're not looking for romance.”
“excellent food and service! We walked over while waiting for our electric car to charge and were very glad we did! Small little place that’s definitely worth a stop! We’d definitely stop by again if we were from the area but unfortunately just on a road trip! Thanks for the food!”
“Kid-friendliness: Super friendly, good kids menu, lots to look at around the restaurant to keep kids entertained while waiting for food.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible for a wheelchair! Once on the sidewalk, we had no problem entering the building or going to our table- no steps, strapped, or bumps to roll over. Wide open floor plan makes it super easy to maneuver a large wheelchair around the restaurant, tables, even to the restroom. This place is VERY WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY.”
“The staff went above and beyond for our order. Dont know if they did what they were not to do but it made the trip to that one DQ supper special. Would recommend it to all... for real.Kid-friendliness: Was a few kids having fun while we were their..”
“If you're in the area, you absolutely must come here for dinner! The museum is very informative and gives a great history of the facility and its important historical role in the area. I've eaten here a couple of times and the service has always been excellent, even when they're buys. Great food, good prices, lovely people. Highly recommended!”
“Stopped in with my kids after being in the car for 10 hours. The cashier was unbelievably friendly and very helpful. Food was fresh. I’d be back if we weren’t just passing through!”
“Valentino's Pizza is basically a Nebraska Pizza chain. It was started in Lincoln, NE, in the late 1950s. I was born and raised in Lincoln, so I'm a little biased. I now live in Colorado, north of Denver, and the Ogallala, NEBRASKA Valentino's Pizza Buffet is the closest at 200 miles one way. However, when I'm hungry for Valentino's, it's time to make a road trip to satisfy my tastes buds. I leave early enough in the morning to make it on time for the lunch buffet and then bring a large pizza home with me. Yes, it's worth it to me. If you're ever in Nebraska and there's a Valentino's buffet in the area, stop in and check it out. You just might get hooked, too. At the Ogallala restaurant, on the buffet, they have a very nice salad bar. The buffet also has a variety of pizzas and pasta dishes. You get to choose what sauces you want on your spaghetti and if you want meat balls. There is excellent cheesey bread with dipping sauce. Fried chicken if you're not wild about pizza. If you still have room, there's dessert. Warm apple cobbler and ice cream. There's also 2 dessert pizza pies. When I was there at Thanksgiving, one of the dessert pizzas was cherry with strudel crumbles and white glaze frosting drizzled over the top. The other dessert pizza pie had the white frosting on it with sprinkles on it. I didn't eat any of it, so I can't say anything more about it than what I saw. I can say with confidence that if you go away hungry, it's most likely your own fault.”
“5 stars for sure. Best Chinese food in all of Nebraska. Hard to believe but it is true. We own a place in Ogallala and eat here every time we are in town. The owners are great and escaped terrible tragedy in their home country. The food is amazing and you should take a few minutes to get to know Lane, who serves the food. Great people and even better food.”
“Second Chapter Brewing rocks!!!! As an avid book reader and librarian wanna be, my heart was happy with the decor and beer names. The owners have done an amazing job restoring the building back to much of its 1927 glory. Richard came and chatted, giving us a nice overview of the business’ background and beer. We shared two flights of 5 oz tasters, which allowed us to taste all but one of the beers available- so good and unique! Would definitely return next time we pass through the area!!!!”
