I asked for no onions. My chicken sandwich and my salad came covered with onions. I had to pull out several forks before I found a clean one. The server seemed irritated and dropped our food at our table and took off. My chicken sandwich was flavorful and tender and a bit too salty. The sourdough bun tasted great, but the bottom bun was soggy. My salad had an old wrinkly tomato and brown lettuce. Casual atmosphere. I ate most of my sandwich, but quit my salad after discovering the old produce.

We're passing through. I guess no one eats lunch at 2:00pm in Ogalalla? We stopped at three restaurants and no one was in the parking lot. We ended up stopping at this place. Again, no cars in the parking lot.

This restaurant has signs that say they are a family-owned fast food restaurant. You go in and order at the counter/bar, pay, and find yourself a table. They bring your food out. When you're done, you clean up after yourselves and place your dishes at the designated area. I won't get into the tip debate for a place like this, but we did tip.

I got the Buckin' Burrito and the husband got the Patty Melt. They have a nice variety of food. The young ladies were courteous. Food smelled and looked great. Husband had no complaints about the Patty Melt, however, my burrito wasn't that great.

Real quick - the burrito was a lot smaller than I imagined considering all the ingredients it contains. It made for a delicious tasting burrito, but the steak meat was tough and chewy and many pieces were the fatty parts. Definitely not the greatest part of the cow is used. It would probably help if they thinly sliced the beef instead of cutting them into cubes. Also, I've never had a burrito with fries. Some tortilla chips with a small side of salsa would be a better pairing. Just my recommendation. Otherwise, it would have been a great burrito.

I would give this restaurant a second try if we were in town again, but maybe order something different.

Fun menu items, a great place to stop after a day at the lake. Each time I have been, there has been some sort of party -birthday, graduation, etc. A nice open space with outdoor seating that doesn't make it feel crowded even when there are a lot of people present.

Loyal customer from day one! Best burgers around. Right off the ranch, fresh. Love the hand cut fries. Way better than those crisp fake fries others try to pass off as “potatoes.” You can taste the authenticity. BTW burgers shouldn’t drip fat all over the table. This is real beef cooked the way us locals like it!

Love their homemade fries!! The 1/3# burgers are top notch straight from the ranch freshness. Best burgers in Nebraska. I love the prairie fire, the Cobb salad, and my gf kids love that they can get gluten-free burger buns here.

Having lived in Minnesota, South Dakota, Texas, and Colorado, this spot beats them all. The burgers are amazing. Its not often that you can get a consistent "medium" or "well done" or "rare" (I give props to the speedy cooks). The beef is great and flavorful. And choices of buns? Yum! They are big, and I often split mine with a friend.

I love that I can choose different fry styles, from sweet potato to mushroom to steak. And the fried green beans allow me to pretend I'm eating a thoroughly healthy vegetable!

There is plenty of space for parking and eating, including some protected outside tables and a great "belly up to the bar" spot.

The staff moves like the wind, and when I order pick up it is usually ready within 15 minutes max.

Heartily recommend. It's a great hometown spot!
