Mushroom bake and cheesecake were outstanding. Paid over $100 for a bone in ribeye and it was raw in the middle portion near the bone. Not sure if it's because they only broil their steaks and can't get the interior warm before the outside burns but I expected better preparation for the cost. Still a good cut of meat.

Hard to imagine how it could be any better. From calamari to ribeye to broccoli, it was all great.

Great service and the steaks were delicious. Only comment is there was nothing besides steak to speak of for an entree. Hard to bring people to for anything other than Steak. But great waitstaff and the food was very good.Vegetarian options: None

I've eaten here a few times. Each time has surpassed my expectations. My only complaint is my stomach is too small to eat everything. They don't try to over power the food with extra flavors. They let the food speak for itself. Service has always been top notch. They ask how they can help without being overbearing. If you're in Omaha. Be sure to check them out. You'll not be disappointed.

Price was a bit much. They are good, just not that good to be charging NYC price. Nice try. Do

Restaurant located downtown Omaha, inside The Paxton Hotel. They offer valet parking for 801, we didn’t realize this until parking at a meter and walking a few blocks!Food 5*Everything was cooked perfectly! We started with Fried Calamari and Zucchini. I prefer my calamari in thinner strips, but was still delicious.Sourdough Bread came out nice and warm, we really enjoyed it. Asked for a second loaf with our meal.Petite Filet has a crisp outer layer, juicy and flavorful on the inside. Medium Well cook was executed perfectly. For sides we of course had mashed potatoes. It’s a staple for our steak meals. Really enjoyed the thicker texture. We struggled deciding on our green veggie side, there are so many great choices. Our server suggested the bacon lard and caramelized onion green beans. So glad we took his suggestion! The dish had a smoked flavor throughout, onions just added to the dish! For dessert we chose chocolate soufflé. This fell a little flat in terms of taste, the chocolate flavor didn’t shine through. It tasted like more of a bread pudding with different flavors of toppings (Chocolate sauce, Crème anglaise, or berry compote).Old Fashioned was smooth and well made.Service 4*Our reservation was at 7pm. We were seated a few minutes before. Request for a booth was honored! Enjoyed being by the kitchen, I like watching the dishes come out!Our service started a little slow. I think he was trying to give us time to look at the menu and maybe got busy doing other things. But once we ordered he was on point with refills, asking how the food tasted, suggesting items as we asked.Believe the manager came around and asked us how our meal was as well. He didn’t introduce himself but was in a suit and came by multiple tables.Atmosphere 5*Restrooms were clean, glasses were clean and without smudges. Lighting is low just as an FYI to you. I don’t mind the low lighting, but know some people do.Overall great first experience dining here, believe the husband and I will be back to eat the steak, green beans, and hopefully carrot cake if they still offer it!Parking: 801 offers valet parking. Otherwise paid garages and street parking. Paid are eet parking in effect 9a-9p M-Sa as of this writing.

Double cut lamb chops perfectly cooked. So many fantastic starters, we had no choice but to order multiples. Perfect cocktails. Great ambience. Can't wait to return to Omaha and 801 will be on our must visit list.

This was our first time dining here and it truly was an exceptional experience. Our server Josh was attentive and so professional. Everything we ordered was perfect and prepared as we asked. The prime rib bites were so delectable, but certainly did not ruin our dinner because there were 6 of us! We all ordered a different steak and each one was cooked to perfection. Yes, it was pricey, but who cares when everything was perfect! If you haven't been, just go and I'm sure you will love the experience.

We were in town for a convention and ate at 801. This was our second visit to 801 Omaha. It has your old school steak house. Waiters wear the jackets, which is pretty cool. Good size menu with lots of good options. We ordered 3 appetizers for 5 people, which was plenty. Waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and explained it in detail. All 5 of us ordered a steak. All 5 of us enjoyed our steak.

The best steak I've ever eaten and best meal we had in Omaha. Sunday supper is a great deal! Excellent, professional, friendly service and kindly accommodated splitting a steak.

We are return customers to 801. We have come to learn that their experience is consistently five star. This time we had the prime rib dinner and split it between my wife and I. It was cook perfectly. Wouldn't change a thing. It was also very nice to see their valet service was back, which certainly makes it much easier to get in and out of the restaurant.
