Was out there on Saturday evening. The place was packed. Multiple people with buzzers waiting. I found a spot at the bar. Let me say, the entire staff absolutely rocked. Food came out "melt your fork" hot. The young lady working the check-in counter, so organized and polite. The 2 ladies behind the bar, absolute Rock Stars. Did I wait 30 minutes for food? Yes. It was BUSY. PACKED. It was absolutely worth it. I will always support this business.

The chicken was fantastic!! The service wasn't horrible, but wasn't on point for sure. No Raccoons, as it was mid-afternoon.

We went for dinner and so did the raccoons! If you want to see the raccoons go around 5:30-6:00. Outstanding chicken! It was a great place. We will go back for sure.

The crust was thin and crunchy with good flavor. Chicken was moist. Best fried chicken I've had in a long time.

Very busy, the chicked was ok. Took my daughter to see the raccoons. While we were trying to eat people were always crowding around us to see out the window to see the raccoons.

Chicken was delicious, beer was cold…. Chicken fresh from the fryer. Moist, crunchy, seasoned well- exactly what you want. Service was phenomenal. Friendly server ran the table like a symphony conductor. I understand why the raccoons keep coming back for me, hopefully I’ll get a chance to come back too.

We were on a motorcoach mystery trip. Had 4 piece chicken dinners. Chicken was delicious. I had to take home the potato wedges. Servers did the best they could, with our large crowd.

Host was rude and couldn't answer questions on the wait. When asked how long it might be due to us having a young one he stated it depends on how fast people eat. He stated we could sit at the bar but again we had a young one with us. He also stated there was a waiting list and then turned and walked away. I had gone here when I was young with my grandparents and loved it!!! What has happened I don't know.

I feel sorry for these racoons, who have a complete dependency on the deep fried food chucked out by the restaurant. They should be closed down for animal abuse, and the amount of food waste is pretty grim to see.

We went in for a drink, but decided to leave without ordering after being ignored by staff and seeing the poor racoons feeding on a pile of grease out the back.

Such a neat place! I orded a cheeseburger and the strawberry Cheesecake, couldnt complain. My friends all had GIANT pieces of chicken that they loved. Busy place and all staff were attentive, cheerful, and overall great at handling a busy rush. Seeing them feed the racoons was a treat.

Alpine Inn is the very definition of a "hidden gem". It is located off the beaten path, the building is old and rustic, and you pass through a dimly-lit bar past a pool table to get to the restaurant. The dining area has large windows to allow patrons to view raccoons feasting on chicken bones. [Unfortunately, not a single raccoon was present during our recent lunch there. Oh well, whatcha gonna do?] I'll tell you whatcha gonna do... eat some delicious fried chicken! That is their specialty -- and they do it right! I had the Tenders 4 Piece Dinner which featured large juicy strips that they obviously made on site. No frozen, out of the bag chicken items here--these were actually tender and delicious. My wife had Chicken w/ Onion Rings (the waiter staff likely saved the bones for those hiding raccoons). She enjoyed the 3 smaller pieces of chicken and we took the breast for later. My meal came with Macaroni Salad which was ok (I have a high bar when it comes to that side dish) and potato wedges. The wedges were a good-sized potato cut in fourths, then breaded and fried. Nicely done, but I would have liked some additional seasoning on them. Two of our group eschewed the chicken and ordered Hamburgers. Both of them liked their burgers which tells you that the kitchen can handle more than just chicken. As we left, we noticed the big selection of pies and cakes -- they looked great and we wished we would have saved some room for dessert. Might have to go back later and sample some of those...
