We went here for drinks and dessert a couple of years ago, which were great and we couldn't wait to go back to try dinner. Unfortunately, we should have listened to what the cosmos was trying to tell us, took the win and never came back. We were sat at a small table for 2. It appears as if they are more worried about how many people they can cram into the restaurant and how much money they can make more than people being comfortable, quality of food and it being a romantic setting. We ordered 2 of their acero old fashioneds, which we very weak. The dinner menu is very limited and very overpriced. They took the meatballs off of the menu. What type of Italian restaurant doesn't have meat balls? We were conversing about leaving then and we should have .I ordered the lobster risotto and she had the fusilli alla vodka. Both were a big disappointment. The lobster risotto was hard and undercooked. I have had plenty of al dente pasta and this wasn't al dente. The only give you 2 tablespoons of lobster, as you can see in the picture. The fusilli alla vodka has chicken in it. But that's not what we were served more like scraps of chicken pieces and gristle extremely disappointing and disgusting.$20 to add chicken?? Are you insane? I'm sure it wouldn't even be chicken breast but more chicken tendons But our bad experience didn't stop there. A few days later the charges for the overpriced disgusting dinner hit my card and I was overcharged. I tipped but not $30. The server had given himself a $30 tip. I called left a message and when I got a chance I called again the General manager Lindsey answered my call and I explained the situation to her. She told me she had never had any problems like this for that server. I had my customer copy and my receipt which always keep until charges are completed on my account. She was able to quickly find the merchant copy because i had those. She said it must have been a mistake because the ticket after mine had a $30 tip. Well if that's the case were all the other tips after mine put in wrong? She refunded the difference. I'm not buying it and no one else should either. Worse Italian food in the Omaha metro area. I don't know what this restaurant used to be but it's not that anymore. Thanks for the great dessert 2 years ago and the horrible food and trying to steal from me in 2 ways this month. Avoli Osteria has been my most disappointing experience in Omaha. I made reservations for my birthday based on their reviews. The place was very nice looking inside, their website is beautiful but that’s where it stopped being impressive. We were seated by the bar with a view of the kitchen. I ordered the Bistecca and my husband ordered Bolognese Blanco with hazelnuts. The Bistecca was huge as I expected it would be but was served next to a huge portion of Mexican corn salsa with a bunch of micro greens that’s flavor was so strong and its juices got all over the steak. My Bistecca tasted like Worcestershire sauce and that’s not what I expected from a rumored Northern Italian place with a $70 price tag for the steak. My husbands Bolognese he said tasted like how a dirty sock smells and only had a very small spoonful of bolognese . Our server was a young bartender who was too busy getting ready to close the bar down and flirting with a waitress to check on us or get us more drinks. I called and left a message for Dario but I did not receive a call back or any acknowledgment. I wanted to speak with him about the issues thinking maybe he was unaware before I left a review. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this place . I am very disappointed and I don’t know how they are getting any good reviews.

We got very lucky We were able to walk in and sit at the bar. They were completely booked with reservations for the evening so definitely make sure if you want to go there that you have reservations. We ate more of the secondaty menu than the traditional one but the Burrata was so good!The food, the service, and the cocktails were amazing!

Had plans to go to different restaurant but the wait was too long. We saw this place as we pulled in. We were seated right away without reservations. Homemade pasta and very well thought out recipes. I'm sure any pick off of the menu would have been a winner. This will always be an option for our group when we visit Omaha.
Best Italian restaurant in Omaha. They have a really nice Carbonara, and other plates are bit salty but very savory. Great octopus, only that the portion seemed to have got smaller than back in June last year. Overall, highly recommend!

This place is way too pretentious and costly for what it is. The wait staff is great though. If your pasta is sticking to your teeth to the point where you have to dig it out, it’s cooked wrong. The meal should be enjoyable to eat. If you point out any dissatisfaction they will refuse to remake the dish, which is insufferably egocentric. Just expect to be disappointed in the food.

My Beautiful wife took me took Avoli Osteria for my Birthday ? ? Wow, wow, and wow! It has been years since we have enjoyed a truly epic Italian meal! There is not 1 thing we had between the 5 of our party, that was not the best!We travel a lot and Avoli Osteria is single handedly thee best Italian restaurant we have been to! Do not miss this place. We will be back time and time again. Order everything and anything and I guarantee ? you will not be disappointed!

I visited Avoli on New Years Eve for the first time. From the minute I walked in the door, the service was impeccable.The host was very kind, the waitress was prompt, and the drinks were quick. I had a mocktail and loved it and my mom asked for a mocktail with no carbonation and they obliged.The food was spectacular! Carbonara and appetizer were to die for. Some of the best pasta in Omaha.

Although expensive, the food was superb! Everything was good but I have to give extra credit to the octopus appetizer and the duck stroganoff dinner! Also very good was the bolognese bianco. Save room for dessert too!

One disappointing item that we ordered on NYE 2023 was the touted dry aged ribeye 16oz priced at $70 a la carte. The cut was tough with pretty significant tendon tissue (see photo). The crust on the steak was great, however, and it was cooked perfectly. It would be hard to be inclined to order the steak again.
