Love the wide variety of German beers on tap here! The Wagyu burger with Swiss and mushrooms is sanely delish! Always fun place for our gatherings.

We were looking for someplace new to try in town for drinks and snacks/appetizers and hubby found this place online. We were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is charming and has a great vib and the service was fantastic! The whole staff pitches in and helps the server when they are busy with other tables which I LOVE coming from a long history of being a server/bartender. The Hammer pants fries are absolutely delicious as well as the pretzels! (You get 2 large ones in one order so don't let the price scare you) The Moscow mule are great too and we will definitely be back!

The pretzels and the big cheese are my go-tos here! On a nice day, the outside garden patio is the place to be - dogs are welcomed too! There were a couple pups when we went.

This post was made in connection with a Toast promotion.

Barchen is home to my husband's favorite burger in Omaha. We both love the garlic aioli they use. Their drink selection is great, and all the food we've tried is delicious! Love the atmosphere, too!

Love the beer garden out back. The quality of beers are unmatched in Omaha.

Was here on a week night and everything went great! Can't say anything about the beers, but I had a mule and it was 👌 It wasn't crazy busy, so it wasn't too loud; the food was amazing (and heard great things about the burger..?); and the staff that I interacted with were all friendly.

Everything was great, definitely recommend!

Staff are great, management is questionable. A decent location for a night out not recommended for large group activities. Not community oriented especially when comparing with the rest of Benson.

Very good service, great food and wide variety of drinks, very modern but social atmosphere. Prices are a little higher but the quality and service makes it incredibly worthwhile.

Stopped in to grab a snack and a beer while warming up from the cold Nebraska winter. We were greeted by a friendly older gentleman who took his time helping us pick the perfect beers to enjoy alongside some amazing pretzels. The place has plenty of seating, and TVs line the walls, so you can catch a game while you relax. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot to visit if you enjoy German-themed food and drinks. Highly recommend it!

My partner and I Went in to eat dinner for ‘BFF’ after walking around. Walked in and was just stared at before asking if we get seated or seat ourselves. Bartenders were very sweet and handed us some menus to seat ourselves. When we were sat, we were greeted by a server and gave him our drink order, but didn’t see him again for a bit. Beer was dropped by another server which was fine, and he asked if he could get us anything else. With this, we thought this was our server?? We gave him our food order. Then a bit later, the first guy came over and asked if we ordered with the other person to which we said we did. Very confusing.

We got our food, and most of the sausages were ok. Not amazing, but we didn’t complain. Pretzels were delicious.

We were checked in on once about halfway into our meal, and then not again after that. When we were ready to start leaving, we looked around for either of the servers and saw everyone talking at the bar waiting for beers, presumably. The beers they were waiting for was for the table right behind us. This would’ve been a moment he could’ve checked on us, but didn’t. My partner had to go up to the bar and ask for a box. Then again to ask for a check. I had gone to the bathroom during this time and didn’t see a busy back patio. We did feel looked over and brushed off. During our stay, the table behind us asked the person who dropped off our food for silverware, to which he said “sure” and bussed the table next to us instead.

We both work in the service industry, and know being in the weeds, but there were only a few other tables in and out besides us. Very expensive for the service we were given.

We went for dinner last night and to say the food and service was mediocre would be giving this place an actual compliment. Because both were far from it. We got the sausage sampler and my God was it all god-awful. It might as well have been borderline dog food. And those pretzels were probably the only saving Grace that was edible. And let's be honest, we've all had better pretzels at the mall at a wetzel's pretzel. And the service. It might as well be a fast casual at that point. If it was a busy night, I would understand why the servers would have a hard time coming over to the table and checking back. However, it was very slow. It would have been more entertaining to watch paint dry on the wall. Honestly to the general public do not eat here. It sucks, just go down the street a little more and go to the Benton brewery or virtuoso Pizza. This place is trash.
