Absolutely love this place!! We’re in Omaha on vacation and found this place on our first morning here. We came here every morning the 4 days we were in town. Tried a bunch of different options and they were all phenomenal! Their strawberry cream cheese spread is the best!!

We came to Nebraska for vacation, my husband wanted to find a bagel shop, we found this one and fell in love! We came every morning of vacay! The sweetest ladies and the best bagels! The strawberry cream cheese spread was really good! Definitely recommend if you are in the area! We will be back if we ever come through this area again!

Had better bagels from Target to be honest. No blisters on the crust, no chew, I'd even take a bagel with crunch and nothing else at that point l and it didn't even have that. Don't know if they rush their process or what but not very high quality it seems. Final product tastes like biting into a piece of bread more than a bagel. Cream cheese is delicious though so I gave it 2 stars instead of 1.

Ordering here for a first timer is super confusing. Although the staff is nice, no one knows what is going on when ordering, we had about 10 people.ordering and confused what to do next. The breakfast sandwiches are subpar. Very surprised at the high reviews, definitely wont be back.

UPDATED We drove 30 minutes to try The Bagel Bin in Omaha after reading reviews and the way the business describes itself. Your story states that Bagel Bin is "a pioneer of the New York-style bagel in Omaha and the city's inaugural destination for this quintessential treat." Because of that, our expectations were high. Unfortunately, our visit did not reflect what's described. The ordering area was unclear for first-time customers, with no obvious signage showing where to order or where to pick up. The main disappointment was the bagels. I always order a plain bagel as a baseline. Having grown up in Brooklyn, NY in the 60s-70s, I'm remarkably familiar with what a true New York-style bagel should be: * A tight, dense crumb with tiny air pockets -- compact but still soft * A chewy crust, not crunchy -- a gentle tug when you bite * Clear freshness -- when warm, it should smell like flour, steam, and malt What we received was dry and lacking chew, with none of the aroma or freshness expected from a hot-water-boiled, freshly baked New York-style bagel. It tasted more like something that had been sitting than something just made. We were genuinely excited to visit and left disappointed, which is not something we expected given your reputation. If this was simply an off day, I would appreciate hearing that and understanding what may have happened. If someone from management would like to reach out directly, I would welcome a conversation and the opportunity to experience the bagels as they're intended to be. Here is their response on Google: We open at 5am for all the freshness and aromas you desire. Thanks for the review. Here is my follow up response: I am disappointed by this response. My feedback focused on quality, freshness, and expectations set by how the business stands for itself — none of which were addressed here. Thoughtful, critical feedback should be an opportunity for engagement and improvement. Ignoring it sends a message about how customer concerns are valued.

Unfortunately, our visit did not reflect what’s described.
The ordering area was unclear for first-time customers, with no obvious signage showing where to order or where to pick up.
The main disappointment was the bagels. I always order a plain bagel as a baseline. Having grown up in Brooklyn, NY in the 60s–70s, I’m very familiar with what a true New York–style bagel should be:
• A tight, dense crumb with tiny air pockets — compact but still soft
• A chewy crust, not crunchy — a gentle tug when you bite
• Clear freshness — when warm, it should smell like flour, steam, and malt
What we received was dry and lacking chew, with none of the aroma or freshness expected from a hot-water-boiled, freshly baked New York–style bagel. It tasted more like something that had been sitting than something just made.
We were genuinely excited to visit and left disappointed, which is not something we expected given your reputation. If this was simply an off day, I’d appreciate hearing that and understanding what may have happened.
If someone from management would like to reach out directly, I’d welcome a conversation and the opportunity to experience the bagels as they’re intended to be.

I’m honestly surprised by this response. My review was thoughtful and specific, and the intent was to provide constructive feedback — not simply to criticize.
Management attention is especially important when a customer takes the time to explain why an experience fell short, not just when praise is given. The reply did not address the concerns raised about product quality, freshness, or the in-store experience.
That lack of engagement is disappointing and suggests a missed opportunity to listen, learn, and demonstrate leadership.

I love the Bagel Bin. I've moved away from Omaha & I truly miss their bagels so much. Always fresh& delicious. Great selection & the staff was always friendly & accommodating. When I get back for a visit, rest assured I'll have some empty space in my suitcase to bring some bagels back home with me.

Went this morning and it was my first time.. was looking forward to it . Only reason I’m leaving 2 stars is cause my bagel barely had any cream cheese .

Since moving to the are two months ago, have been visiting bagel bin 3-5x a week. As a whole, the product is good ; however my first time visiting the customer service had me feeling like I was incompetent when I was visiting on a referral and asking for how their ordering works. Today there was a error with the ordering process ; and the manager called me at work after I left a message to speak to me about the issue ; upon answering I let her know that I was at work and would call back later to rectify the issue. She replied immediately "Um Ok, but just so you know........" without honoring my request to contact later, or asking what the problem was. It is one thing for user error to occur. It is a completely separate issue to blame customers for being upset about a technology error ; and throwing away a 30$ breakfast that he couldnt eat due to medical reasons.
Best bagel shop in Omaha. Wide variety of bagels that are always fresh and the sandwiches they make are extremely tasty. The staff is also very helpful, courteous and kind. If you’re not sure what you want, they’ll help guide you in the right direction. The bagels are like New York bagels, where they’re not filled with a bunch of bread. Highly recommend.
