I had the 1 and 1, chicken breast and catfish. When I hear soul food I think I’m going to flavor town. This is not it, fish was cooked to order but didn’t have one salt crystal used. Chicken was average. Black eye peas were cold and lack luster. The saving grace was the cornbread but it seems like it’s just jiffy.

Best catfish in Omaha. The house made hot sauce is some of the best I've ever had. The Mac and cheese is really good and the fried okra is great on its own or dipped in the hot sauce. The cornbread was super good as well. The service was spot on and the staff is friendly. "Big Mama's Kitchen is a must-visit! I've been enjoying their sweet potato cheesecake for over a decade, and it's still my favorite dessert. Their cranberry tea is my absolute favorite, so refreshing and flavorful. The oven-fried chicken and wings are also delicious. I've had their catering at events, and it was amazing. My family ordered the Catfish/Chicken Dinner, the 4 piece Fried Chicken dinner and the Chicken sandwich, The chicken was fresh hot, and tasty as was the fish and chicken sandwich, and the collard greens were spot on, and reminded me of my home back in Mississippi. All the food was amazing and we will be back! Thank you so much for the soul food that took me back!

A little hard to find, but the food was great! Got the fish fillet and piece of chicken (1 and 1). Their famous oven fried chicken has a unique, really good flavor. The fish is fried to order. Crispy on the outside, but the fillet melts in your mouth! Greens and Mac-n-Cheese were both real goog. Try the sweet potato cheese cake. GPS took me to the parking lot of a complex where her restaurant is upstairs, but no sign that I could see. I had to ask around to find her, but it's worth the search.
