A journey brought me to Papillion, Nebraska – a town where the pace slows and local flavors shine. tucked among the neighborhood streets is a spot well worth the stop: Canigilia’s a Mano.
This unassuming local eatery delivers the kind of comfort and quality that only comes from doing things right. I ordered the Sicilian chef salad, thin crust sausage and peppers pizza, and it arrived exactly the way it should: salad fresh and pleasing with perfect dressing, Pizza – crisp-edged, hot, with perfectly balanced layers of savory sausage, sweet peppers and enough char.
There’s nothing flashy here – just hospitality done right, a warm welcome, and food that respects tradition. If you are any where near Papillion and craving something real, this is a table worth sitting at.
As a side note – I also ordered the Sicilian sub, saving it for the next day’s lunch – and it didn’t disappoint. hearty, well layered, and full of bold flavor. It held up beautifully overnight.

my family and I came in this evening- 7/20. they had been closed the previous day due to AC issues. and the building was still struggling. the SHORT staffed team there were so accommodating and fantastic. I dont know how many times they apologized about it been a bit warmer(honestly it was better then outside) they were on it. Even being short staffed, took fantastic care of us and everyone coming and going. We tried the mango habenero wings OMG YUM. and we got 2 larges 1 1/2 philly steak(no mushrooms) and other 1/2 spicy pep. and 1 large BBQ spicy chicken. and per usual KICKED it out of the park! this was our 3rd time there and again, WONT be out last. I can't recommend them ENOUGH. The food is always fresh and great.

My husband and I were very impressed with this restaurant! We are from MA where good Italian food is on every corner. We haven’t found a place close to anything back home… until now! The food was incredible, kids got two huge slices of pizza off the kids menu, employees were kind and helpful, the establishment is extremely clean all the way to the bathrooms! Highly recommend!

We were very happy with our take-out order. Timing exactly matched the confirmation. Our hamburger & pepperoni pizza was amazing! Crust held up in the middle, sauce was delicious, cheese had a slight toasting to it. Our chicken alfredo was super yummy. And I liked how the side salads were chopped lettuce. We'll be back again soon!

Food is okay but if you order from Uber eats, they will cancel your order every single time

I had a doordash pickup that was still being made. Marissa offered me some water & talked with me about life and she was so warm & welcoming. She is definitely a gem at Caniglia's. When I was leaving (I'm guessing 2 regulars) were coming in and she was so sweet to them as they were coming in & said she was glad to see them again. You could tell she was genuine with everyone! Thank you Marissa, you were a great part of my day today!

We have been coming here for awhile now but tonight we tried something new normally we get the Tony’s favorite and one of ours lol but Jaime recommended the Sicilian sandwich and it was amazing! She also recommended our daughter who is very particular might I add the chicken Alfredo with both sauces and she was very pleased! Thanks so much for the recommendation!

I purchased two subs, one Italian sausage and the other meatball with pasta salads. This was a takeout order and when I got home, both my subs were soggy on the bottom. The entire sausage was a very, very black and more like a hamburger in my opinion, and this dummy, both side Chunks of meatballs they cut up real tiny very hard !!! I did call The store to express my disappointment and their sandwiches. I’m hoping for future customers that they don’t have to experience this. I expected higher-quality food Godd
