We went on Friday, the 22nd of March. We did not have a reservation but it wasn't yet too crowded, so we got right in. Roberto was the person that took care of us. He was great. We had a slight issue with the kitchen and our order and it got delayed. We were enjoying ourselves and having conversation so we didn't mind too much. Roberto was annoyed and he kept stopping by to keep us up to date. It seems that somehow our order was lost or misplaced or something so instead of a 10-15 minute wait, it ended up being almost an hour. Amy, one of the managers, came by and told us she was sorry for what happened and she took care of our entire dinner. That was so wonderful. I am not the type to get upset and we still had a great time. And Roberto got a good tip as he cared and did all he could. My wife got the salmon and I had the special of prime rib. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed it. Can't miss with the new location either. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely go back!

Today 03/24/2024 it's my husband's birthday weekend. Well it's cold it's raining. We where a group and it's supposed to be 15. Didn't get the number right. Many cancel from coming. Some was simply tired or they where ill. That's fine.We ask the waiter could he close the door. He was very nice and friendly. Well the manager came in several times looking over at the empty seats. The manger had the most evilest look on his face. Didn't say hi nothing he opened the door back up and kept looking at the empty seats. I had apologize to the waiter and said many of the people running late or cancel from showing up.The waiter and others where very nice and very professional. Because of the waiters and waitress I give 4 stars. I can't give 5. We don't live very far so if the manger wants us to get at the one on the Northside. That's truly out of our way. Firebirds it is next year. We love going there cause they never have a problem with us. I pray for Charlestons and remember this isn't 1960.God bless.

This review is strictly about what may be a restaurant policy or it could be the ignorance of our server. We were at the new Charleston's location for dinner on the 21st at about 5 PM. We were seated in the dining room and ordered several glasses of the wine that was on the "Social Hour" menu. We also ordered one of the appetizers from this menu as well. When our bill arrived we were charged the normal price and not that of the "social hour" menu. When we pointed this out to our server we were told that that menu was only available in the bar. Nothing on the website indicates this. If this is a policy it needs to be corrected!

Personally, I liked Charleston's at its previous location about 138th and Dodge, just North of Boys Town. We went there often for casual and formal dining. We tried the new location on 145th recently and were disappointed. Oh, the food and service were good, but it's hard to get in and out of the parking lot and actually to the restaurant. It's difficult to leave to find a light to cross 144th. The parking lot is very confusing leaving us to have to circle around and back several times to actually get to the restaurant and then to find an exit back to 144th.We were also disappointed inside the restaurant. While the old location was always busy, it never seemed cramped. The new location looks similar inside, but feels cramped like it was reduced by 1,000 sq ft or so. That's just a guess. Even when we were seated in a booth, the booth seemed smaller and everything felt cramped all around. The bar wasn't open, which was no problem for us. New location licensing issues in Omaha is likely the problem. The bar at the new location is in the back, I guess. I actually couldn't see it. While we don't use the bar, it was fun to see the bar upon entering at the old location. It gave it a fun atmosphere.New developments always seem to have the most cramped and confusing roads and parking, almost as if they were an after thought. This business development still has a ways to go before completion, so it wasn't terribly crowded on the roads/parking lot, but I can't imagine the chaos once everything is in place. Plus, the restaurant's actual parking lot is not ideal. The main parking in front is on a slant making it hard for some to get in and out of their cars, plus the slots are narrow as always these days. There is some parking around the side and across a median, but I wouldn't want to walk across the street there when it's busy or in the crowded lot. When went before sundown, so I don't know about the lighting at night, but I suspect it will be rather dim like at the old location.I miss the old place and we probably won't go back to Charleston's again. That's sad because it was one place we felt was a bit upscale for a nice dinner out without being too pricey. The new location isn't that much further away, but the entrances, roads, parking lot, and interior cramped feeling is why it got 1 star for atmosphere. Both architects and city planners have to stop crowding everything in a small place and then sticking in crowded and confusing roads and parking like at the mall at 180th and Dodge. I cringe every time we go there, which isn't often, thank goodness.Omaha is starting to look like Denver with every spare space stuffed with something that doesn't fit, doesn't work well, and that looks terrible. It's a shame.

We are regulars and have gone twice to the new location. The food and service were great both times but it's missing the cozy, warm, inviting feel the old Charlestons had. We're kinda bummed about that. It felt like we were eating delicious food at a newly remodeled Village Inn. My daughter and I ordered the vegetable medley and it did not have any butter sauce on it which was no biggie we just mentioned it to our server and the manager Amy brought out our new ones. Amy was very apologetic and I felt bad for her as it seemed as if she might have had a bad week with the move and negative comments. I hope Charlestons is able to bring back some of the same inviting and intimate atmosphere they had at the other location.

Tried to order food for family tonight at 5:30p … dinner time. Got all the way ready to place order and said ribs were out. I called and they said they ran out a bit ago. How do you run out of ribs/food at the early part of your dinner service??? Hopefully this is not an indication of how the new location is going to be. Used to be one of the places I loved to go for ribs but that will change quickly if the new location is going to be out of food.

The chicken tender platter and the baby back ribs are favorites and guaranteed hits. But I tried the kale and mint salad on a whim the other day, and it's amazing. And I don't like kale. Highly recommend it when you feel like something lighter.
