My opinion, Charlie's has gone downhill since the last time I had dinner there. For starters, the menus were filthy covered in food and grime. The inside of the restaurant is dark and very dated, thankfully we sat outside by the lake. The silverware brought me back to eating in a high school cafeteria. The waitresses were all very young, nice, but not polished whatsoever. The shrimp cocktail was soggy and my filet was over seared, medium rare in the middle, not juicy, and...
This was our first experience. Both my wife and I agreed that our lunch was among the best we ever had. Service was ok but not exceptional. Overall, we were impressed enough to take two out of town friends back for lunch the very next day Unfortunately, three out of four of us were very disappointed Different day, different cook? At any rate, now we won't be in any hurry to return.
We had our wedding reception in the reception hall at Charlie’s and it was amazing!!! Steve and his staff were so wonderful to work with! We enjoyed all of the food and our guests did too. The reception hall comes with DJ set up, fun lighting to choose from, table necessities and everything to make the day so easy and fun. The servers were great as well. Would HIGHLY recommend to have your next event here or just for a good meal :)
