Dairy Queen Grill & Chill

I ordered 2 different Blizzards. I received 2 of the same Blizzards. Did not notice until I got home. Frustrated.

This was the absolute worst experience I've had at a Dairy Queen or any other fast food places for that matter. It took 20 minutes to get our food--which were missing items and things were wrong (took 10 more minutes to get). There were only 2 tables of people in there and they had already been served, nobody in the drive thru. The staff (except the girl who took our order, she seemed new and was kind) were very childish, yelling at each other and over each other, making obnoxious sounds, yelling at the customers who were already in there, asking if anybody ordered such and such. Dirty, no ice in the machine. Just a terrible experience, will definitely not return to this location.

I tried to dine in at the Dairy Queen at Lakeside Omaha on Thursday Jan. 30, 2025, between 8:25 PM and 8:45 PM, but it was the MOST DISGUSTING dining experience I've encountered. The young man working the drive through & handling all of the drive through food was coughing so loudly & grotesquely like he was trying to cough up phlegm. It was so nasty that I couldn't eat my meal. Just prior to leaving, he went running into the restroom to throw up loud enough for everyone in the restaurant to hear. I don't understand why a sick employee was not sent home and allowed to work at this establishment while coughing all over everyone's food. This is a health and food safety issue! I feel sorry for the other employees that had to work with him and the other customers that were trying to enjoy their Blizzards. This employee should be fired for coming to work that sick and this restaurant needs to establish standards that require sick employees to go home! NASTY!!! :(

Ridiculously long wait in the drive through with almost no vehicles in the parking lot.

It’s a Dairy Queen. Food is pretty typical, not bad not great, but gets the job done. This is a popular spot to stop in the evenings so lines can sometimes be long.

Worst place to eat. The staffs literally scream over each others with expicit words so customers would feel embarresed to eat.
They do not provide customer care from taking orders to handing out to diners.

The young man who took my order was ever so friendly. When I got to the pick up window the young man there greeted me with a wide smile and gave my pup a pup cup. Love this DQ.

Went to get some food. The environment was nasty and there were flies everywhere. We ordered at 3:11 it said on the receipt and we waited 42 minutes. We just said, nope, and asked for a refund. Other customers were waiting to order and never got to and they just left as well.

Waiting in line is expected, we came at a busy time… but we can see what you’re doing when we are parked at the window. We can see you make our 4 ice cream cones, set them down and let them sit for 5 minutes before handing the soupy mess to us in the car. We can clearly see 3 people standing around, not doing much. When we raised an issue with this, the lady said “well it’s hot outside.” Yea, we noticed, that’s why we came to you for ice cream, NOT a cone of cool milk. Good thing you decided not to flip the blizzard upside down, that also sat and melted before you handed it to us. When we asked for additional napkins to try to keep the mess manageable, you handed us 2… TWO napkins for 4 medium cones and a sloppy blizzard. Dairy Queen made my car sticky and my kids cry. Y’all need to quit your jobs if you have no interest in trying to do a good job. Very disappointing experience.

Would prefer to give 0 stars, but it’s not an option on Google. This place is so dirty it’s uncomfortable to sit down, let alone eat food or treats prepared here. It’s baffling that they have passed a health department test. I cannot imagine the food is safe to eat after seeing the floors, walls, counters, food prep stations, etc. Needs to be seen by corporate or health department and shut down.

Although there were at least seven employees in the back when I was there, they were slow with the order and said that it was complete without giving all of the items ordered. Basically, poor service.

Bacon not cooked enough, everyone thought burger tasted bad, might of been the bacon. Service poor, nothing stocked on counter.
