Giving it 3 stars. The pizza was too thin and a little burnt tasting. There were hardly any topping on the pizza and I couldn't even taste the mozzarella cheese! Where's the cheese?? Very mediocre pizza. Much better place located one block away.

Came here with some friends who live locally and was very impressed! The food was really good and there was a lot of vegetarian options. The servers were friendly, restaurant was clean, and overall I had a great time here.

Crust was thin and crisp and tasty. Needed more cheese. I ordered the sausage and peppers. The peppers were great the sausage was lacking substance, seemed more like a sauce.

We tried three pies and loved all three! Decent selection of drinks too, and fun to watch them work the dough, oven, etc.

I'm giving this 3 stars because I expected the pizza crust to be better. It was a little too thin in my opinion and crust was kind of burnt. And I barely even tasted the mozzarella cheese. Toppings were minimal. Where's the cheese?? And, what's up with no grated parm cheese! My gf and I ordered one 12 inch margarita pizza. We were still hungry. There's a better place one block away. Atmosphere was nice.

First time going and I've heard a LOT of hype. Perhaps so due to location, as it is rather quaint and niche; which I adore! However and maybe this is where I fail as a consumer, but I am never a fan of burnt crust; ever. From a wood fire or oven - just, no. The brussels were also quite burnt - again, perhaps I fail as a consumer here - and quite vinegary for some odd reason. Very self serve. The water is by the entry/exit with no cover on it, so watch for floaties.

Some of the best pizza in the state. High quality ingredients make for great food. Pasta dishes are also amazing.

The smoke from the oven was the a little overwhelming. Pizza crust was on point

We tried this Pizzeria after reading in the World Herald that it is one of Omaha's top twelve restaurants. We liked the building, set up and decor but we are simply not able to eat spicy food anymore. The sauce on our Cordova pizza left our mouths burning. I really think they should offer more than one sauce choice. I also didn't know there would be a soft egg on top of the pizza and I would have preferred to leave it off. The parking lot was terribly icy. We wound up parking in the street catty cornered from the restaurant.

I refuse to tip on Point of Sale "POS" restaurant software. In the US tips are: 1) compulsory where the service worker earns less than minimum wage and relies on tips; and 2) tips for exceptional service. I'm in the "once was a waitress" ranks, know how to tip, and do my best to be low maintenance. A first-time Dante Pizzeria Napoletana guest is received in a queue with the assumption that the guest is more likely to tip if required to press a "no tip" button to opt out of tipping with the server awkwardly waiting for the guest to complete the transaction. When I dine at a restaurant that offers a total service experience rather than standing in a fast food style queue, I tip based on the quality of the food, how I am treated, and how long I had to wait. Must you shake me down to tip before I receive service or food? DPN has a dedicated parking lot and this certainly ups the total service experience for a Blackstone establishment. The interior is pleasant and inviting. The staff was gracious. The wood roasted pork meatballs on a bed of polenta may have been a tad pricey at $12.00 for 3 meatballs. They were tasty and the polenta was impeccable. The Farm Greens with lemon & thyme, grana padano & pistachio at $11.00 were very fresh and the dressing was creamy and exquisite. The Margherita pizza ($11.00) was fine but not warm enough. Plus $9 to share a quartino (8 oz) of wine. This is also a nice touch for guests that are driving. The bill for 2 people before tax was $43. Not exorbitant for fresh, high quality ingredients. Back to the service experience. I stood in a fast food style line, poured my own water from a station, and helped myself to silverware dispensed from a table top caddy. Nope, no tip in advance but you are welcome to check with me after the service experience and we can settle up for exceptional service.

Very smoky. You will leave smelling like smoke. Not sure if the ventilation system is working properly. Had the lunch special. The kale salad was very fresh. Tossed with a lite vinegarette dressing and Parmesan. But I am sitting here for 20 minutes so far waiting on my pizza. It's lunch time. There were only 3 people when I came in. I understand cooking to order. But it's lunch time. Anyway after I finally got it. It was a good flatbread pizza. Cooked to perfection, thin crust with the right amount of toppings. All in all good. But work out the smoke thing so I don't go back to work smelling like smoke.

There are no shortage of pizza 'joints' in Omaha, so you have to be unique to stand out. I think Dante, with its very light and airy crust, does just that. Crust is very much the star here. I wouldn't get this delivered or to-go as it is so delicate and light. Luckily and frankly, inexplicably, this place is never that busy so there's no wait. I get that there is another pizza option in blackstone, but given the lack of line and more interesting pizza toppings I give the nod to Dante. Sides have been great too. Have had the kale+beets and Brussels. Both very good. Perhaps many people have been turned off by the DIY service model. Doesn't really bother me except for when you want another beer, you have to get it yourself. Again, never that busy so you wouldn't have to wait too long. Lastly, this place has a very large and dedicated parking lot, which is very rare in the ever-tightening 'blackstone district.'

The service was quick, friendly and helpful. Exactly what you ask for when going out to eat. The pizza (fungi) was cooked well and tasted great. The appetizer (focaccia) could of used a little more cheese on top but that is just getting nit picky. Loved the interior and feel of the place. Great date night place or fun for the kids as you can watch them make and cook the pizza right in front of you. Will be back.

I recently visited with my kids on a day off school and while the food was tasty there were a couple of things that were not ideal. 1. No kids menu, which is fine if you just want pizza but I had a pasta request and the the only pasta dish that was really kid-friendly was $16 for a lunch portion, which was small. 2. The only drinkware is glass which was also fine but it would have been nice to have an option with a lid or when you are purchasing the individual bottles or cans if there was a smaller portion that was more appropriate for a kid size.
