This is an establishment that cares about the people they serve to an insane degree. The server and head of the counter took the time to explain the whole menu and gave helpful suggestions. He was easy to talk to and made you feel welcome. I asked if they had anything sweet on the menu and he checked the back to see if they had dessert from the night prior. Talk about above and beyond. The owners themselves in the back then decided that the beautiful creme Brule that was expertly made could not be given to me for money but for free. You need to visit this place. They made guy fiery happy, and they made this average guy elated.
We tried this place for the first time. Spectacular overall experience. We had the OG Sandwich, Fries, and Chicken Tenders. The breading was crisp and flavorful. Clearly a made from scratch kind of place. Great service from the entire staff, but I have to say Midwest Mike West is a DYNAMITE front of the house personality.

We had to come a couple times to make sure this place isn’t a fluke, it’s not. This is hands down the best fried chicken place in all of Omaha. This time I tried the Chopped Achiote chicken sandwich. I didn’t know it was possible to have a religious experience eating a sandwich but I cannot describe it in any other way. Tears of joy fell from my eyes at the first bite, and tears of sorrow fell at the last bite because there was no more. 100000/10, best sandwich I’ve ever put into my face
First time here today, loved it so much. Great music, had some 90's Hip-Hop on, the fried pickles were AMAZING. My OG sandwich was beautifully cooked, nice and thick, crispy all the way through, Fries were crispy. Love the homemade hot sauce. This place is so good I will bring more people back with me next time. Oh yeah guys at the front were great too, helpful, nice, all around our experience was great. My two friends and I came in and all loved it .Wow, it's crazy to read any of the one star reviews. There really is no pleasing some people. I run a business as well, and some people love to complain, even if it's about nothing. If anyone is reading this far, ignore them and try it yourself. They're whiner babies.

Dirty Birds is a beautiful hidden gem in downtown Omaha with all the great things you look for in a chill, homey, one of a kind restaurant. From the food to the service to the aesthetic of the restaurant, you will never be disappointed in coming in. The drinks are also delicious and no matter who helps you out, you will be sure to enter and leave with a smile! My absolute favorite is 1. The FRIES and 2. trying all of their homemade pasta specials, as each time it gets better and better. The latest addition was a 15 layer lasagna and MY GOODNESS I am OBSESSED! Just look at the pictures…. Make sure you follow them on Instagram to keep up with their menu and specials - you will not regret it!
