We dined in at the Elkhorn location and shared a large Tony’s Special Calzone. It was phenomenal! Their food was so delicious we decided to have pizzas delivered the next night. Our favorite pie is in the photo, It was a basil, tomato, onion and feta. YUMMM!!! Can’t say enough good things about Don Carmelo’s and love that we are supporting a local, family business.

I’ve been eating pizza here for 20 years. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in my time and every time I bite into a fresh slice…I’m reminded why it’s my favorite place to get pizza! Try the margarita, classic pepperoni or another favorite of mine is pepperoni sausage combination!!

It’s been a while, but historically Don Carmelos has been my go to for my family for pizza in Omaha. The last time I had Don Carmelo‘s was on 204th St. and I’ve had frozen pizza that was better. I’m pretty sure that the pizza we had that day is the same pizza that they serve at the skating rink. Sorry just being honest I would love to know what happened to the Carmelo’s that we fell in love with. And it was expensive.

Before I start I want to say the food is pretty good, however it is EXTREMELY expensive. I took my family to eat (4 of us and 2 were on kids meals) and it was just shy of $90 for pizza and spaghetti! We could all go somewhere and all get steaks for that price! First I genuinely thought there was a mistake. I was looking at the receipt almost dumbfounded with how much it was…As I am looking this over I was also told the prices have been raised but it is not reflected on the menu (yet). Honestly wish I would have just walked out and decided to go somewhere else. To me it is absolutely wrong to charge a price higher than on the menu. If the menu has not been updated, no place should ever be able to charge more than shown (especially not even notating that anywhere)…at this point they already had my card and was ringing it up as I am hearing this and I would have been too embarrassed to cancel it…Unfortunately no matter how good, it is way too much to charge (Note: the price we paid did not include any WHOLE pizzas. We ordered 2 calzones, one mini pizza, kids spaghetti and cheese bread)
Looks like what we paid total was approx $11-12 higher than reflected on their menus for the total bill.
Took forever just to have someone say something. Asked if we should sit down just for someone to say u have to come up to order. Ordered and didn't get drinks for 10 minutes just to find out it's serve yourself the pop. 40 minutes for a pizza that was ok. Never again! Don't waste your time! Service was a 0/10.

We enjoyed this pizza. The crust was nice and crunchy, but the rest of the dough was softer than we thought it would be. We did get it to go, so that could have been the reason. Love the garlic and prosciutto toppings. It is a little pricey, but compared to others in the area, the flavor was much better.

This is our favorite neighborhood pizza joint. Crust has a nice “crunch” as a pizza should and the sauce has a deep tomato flavor.
There’s a younger, well kept fellow working behind the counter whose polite, knowledgeable, helpful, & efficient; rare find nowadays so they better treat him right.
