“This place has the donut business down to a science. After being disappointed with all the donut shops closest to us we drove down to Winchell’s. They always have a surplus’s of selection which no else seems to be able to do. The coffee has an interesting taste but it really has grown on me to the point that I need some for home. The staff is super efficient when it comes down to cutting down lines. Love the Halloween decorations too. Don’t be turned away by its older appearance, this is the donut spot.“

“Let me tell you an incredible story! On Wednesday, July 31st, I placed a decently large order for my company's monthly birthday treats. At 5:30 that night, chaos ensued as a big portion of the city lost power during a violent storm. I was preoccupied with getting home safely and continuing my usual routine, so I didn't think anything about the orders I had placed or if those businesses would have power to fulfill them. It wasn't until 5 am the next morning as I drove through town that I realized the day would probably not go as expected. As I pulled into the strip mall where Sunrize is located, I noticed there was no power to the entire area. As I got out of my car thinking, "Why wouldn't they have called last night to cancel the order?" I was shocked to find an employee sitting outside of the open, dark door of the donut shop with a stack of donut boxes sitting next to him. I learned that they had made the decision to make the order at their sister store in Fremont, then have someone pick them up and get them all the way back to Omaha for me to collect by 6 am! And to top it all off, the entire order was correct and every item we ordered was top-notch quality. I could have eaten a whole box by myself.
Exceptional customer service is not something that's readily found these days, but Sunrize completely hit it out of the park for us when it would have been infinitely easier to just cancel the order. From all of us at my company, thank you SO much!!

“I checked Reddit for where the best donuts in Omaha were and was told Olsen Bake Shop and I absolutely believe it. Their yeast donuts are divine. A little messy to eat because of how fresh they are but that's when you know it's good!!! I am not a fan of cake donuts generally and these are so good. They aren't too thick or cakey. I'm trying it the next day and it's soft and still light and absolutely rich and delicious. I got a dozen and had the woman who helped me give me a selection so I could figure out what we like. All I know is we want to try more!!! This will be added to our breakfast rotation. The price is comparable is a dozen donuts at Krispy or Dunkin but the quality makes it worth the 12 minute drive there versus a 3 minute drive. Thank you ladies. See you soon!“

“This is a place to go on a Saturday and order the apple fritters with Carmel on top of it! Me and my friends do this every now and then and it sets our weekend shopping trips off to a beautiful start. Bring a fork along because they'll put it inside a little plastic container to enjoy with your coffee. We usually sit downtown at the park and enjoy a nice conversation before going shopping!“

“We used to live in omaha and got these donuts on Saturday mornings at the 120th & Center location....they are freshly made right before your eyes which was cool for the kiddos. Served warm and just perfect. Now that we don't live there, we still make a point to go every time we area back. Glazed are the best in my opinion and they have good coffee too.“

“I placed an order for birthday donuts for my son. I spoke with Lindsey who was extremely friendly and helpful. When I picked the donuts up the night before my son’s birthday (at a different Hurts donut location) they were not what I expected. I called Lindsey as I thought maybe there was confusion with the order. She went above and beyond and not only replaced the donuts but had them brought directly to us (and we aren’t located close to the store).
