I placed a phone order for pepper steak with beef about ten minutes before closing, and honestly, I wasn’t even sure they would accept it 😅. The guy who answered the phone was super friendly and relaxed, and he kindly agreed to take my order even though it was so close to closing time. That already meant a lot! 🙌✨ When I pulled up to the drive-through, my food was ready quickly, which was impressive considering the timing 🚗💨. On top of that, he surprised me by adding a few crab rangoons on the house! 🦀🔥 And I have to say — they were hands down the best crab rangoons I’ve ever had. Way better than anywhere else I’ve tried! Absolutely delicious 😋👌 The beef with rice was decent — maybe a little too saucy for my taste and the sauce itself wasn’t my favorite — but for the price, I really can’t complain at all 💸👍. The service alone deserves five stars. I honestly don’t understand how anyone could rate this place lower after an experience like that. We need more kind, thoughtful people like that drive-thru employee in the world 🌟👏

Definitely a place you'll miss if you aren't looking for it. Very unassuming building makes you almost feel like you're in on a secret when you do find it.
The food is decent. For Omaha Americanized Chinese, it's worth the price. It's the closest to good takeout I've found in the area. Changing the fry oil would do wonders for the fried chicken and the crab rangoons. Chicken didn't have much crunch, but the sauce was nearly perfect. Rice had the wok hei smokiness I look for every time. Some onion or garlic would be nice, but the rice was fine by itself.
I would come back to see if the oil had been changed. If it had, I could see multiple repeat visits. If not, then it was good to try once or twice.

Dragon 88 is the undisputed absolute best in the city. I don’t even try a different restaurant. Cause I know I’d be disappointed.. this is the go too Chinese place.. grew up eating 88..except no substitute

I wished I had read the reviews before going there. I went yesterday Friday 3/28/2025. Ordered shrimp fried rice with four dollars extra shrimp. Food was horrible NO TASTE,temperature was sub par, shrimp was way overcooked rice had clumps of hard rice in it. I said to the guy at drive thru I have never been here before he lied to me and said the best chinese food. NEVER EVER AGAIN!
Their fried rice is very delicious and they always serve with great humor, I highly recommend it.
