What started as a fun night ended in a really upsetting and unacceptable situation. When they closed, there was still girls in the restroom and one of the staff members came in and aggressively yelled that place was closed and we needed to leave immediately. I opened the door and told him he had to wait because there was people in the restroom, and instead of handling it professionally, he grabbed me by the arms and tried to physically remove me from the building. He was so aggressive and rough that he left BRUISES on my arms.
I was so shocked and terrified that someone representing the business would treat a customer like that.
No one deserves to be manhandled like that, especially when you’re just trying to communicate that there’s girls in the restroom and you’re wanting to leave safely. This was a completely unnecessary and unacceptable situation, and because of this we will not be returning to epoca.
Take your business elsewhere unless you want to be treated like trash by the security workers.

Asada- decent but very salty. Good portion.
The online ordering is messed up and confusing. It says to check box if you DONT want onions and cilantro. So I unselected them and then didn’t get onions or cilantro so it seems messed up.
I saw other reviews talking about poor service and then many saying it was great. Sounds like 1 problem server. Instead of looking into the issue, you called a customer a liar. Just because something is against policy doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Very disappointing to see that type of response.

Two drinks took over 20 minutes to be delivered, and they were very weak — yet still cost over $25! The Paloma may as well have been a mocktail — zero proof. The top shelf margarita was “decent” but also weak. When we walked in, we heard someone ask “can we order drinks… or get… any service?” 😬 Other tables were also commenting on the slow service. All employees seemed apathetic and to have zero hustle. Would not come back for a drink, and I frankly wouldn’t return to eat a meal based on what I saw from other patrons and how slow the drink service was. This place seems like a late l-night high-volume shots or “cheap mixed drinks made with well liquor” bar, so maybe they should just stick to that and not be open for food service or earlier in the day/evening.

Love this place! Amazing atmosphere and staff. Place is very welcoming, the staff are nice and welcome you with bright smiles. Had their Street tacos: al pastor and asada which were so good🤩 . My friend ordered nachos and i ended up eating the whole thing. If in downtown and need a place to just relax and eat bomb food Epoca is definitely the place to go!

Was recently at Epoca for an event, and everything was fantastic. From the queso dip to the asada tacos to the flautas (not normally on the menu), the food was fabulous. Heard many people at the event rave about the food, one person even inquired about having a wedding catered. The service was wonderful, fast and friendly, including the kitchen staff bringing out all the food. We will be spending a lot of time at Epoca during the CWS thanks to this latest visit!

so good, I could live here! Extremely talented and fast bartenders, reasonable pricing on the drinks as well! The staff is always welcoming and polite, and there is always a seat for everyone! My two favorite food items here are the tacos and wings! I suggest the Carne Asada tacos, and buffalo wings. You might not have guessed it being a Mexican place but the wings are some of the best in town.
Nightlife is also 10/10! You can tell it’s one of the coolest places to be when it’s slammed every weekend with all latino cultures coming together to celebrate life and dance in harmony. Top notch, can’t say enough good things. I truly consider Epoca Cantina a home away from home.
