I went here with a friend on a weekday morning. The city has spent a LOT of money building up the downtown area in the last few years. This business is just the cherry on top. It is connected/adjacent to the Luminarium. Fig is very open with high ceilings. There is great views from every vantage point of the riverfront and the nearby playground. I had a cortado to drink and then the daily quiche which featured chorizo with potatoes, cilantro, and onion. It came a small salad with vinaigrette. You order at the counter and then given a number. I don't know if it's required; but I then bussed my own dishes. The space is quite nice. I got the feeling that, probably because it's so new, that they are still working out some issues. I don't think I would make a trip specifically here since it's kind of out of the way. But, if I'm ever in the area, I would try it again.

Small cafe atmosphere. Great place to go to bring out the laptop for work or school. The food variety is impressive considering it's a small cafe. The vanilla chai was the best I've had anywhere else! I had to talk myself out of getting more. The staff was kind even during the lunch rush. The food presentation was decent, but the flavor makes up for the "aesthetic". Not a long waiting period to receive the order at the table. Indoor and outdoor seating with covering available. Parking can be questionable as it's connected to The Luminarium. Need a grab and go such as coffee or latte? There is a separate line to be able to order that quickly to get back out the door.

I have eaten here twice. First time was great (but the food took 20 minutes to come out), and I loved the hummus bowl so much the first time that I ordered it the second time. However, I was so unimpressed with the service this time. We came to eat at 4:20pm on a Saturday. I thought it was open until 6pm, per their advertised hours, but I was wrong. After standing at the counter for around 30 seconds while my mother read the menu, the cashier rudely interjected, “by the way, the kitchen closes in 10 minutes.” I’m not sure why that was relevant other than to imply that we needed to decide faster.I noticed a Beer and Bratwurst soup on the specials menu, which didn’t contain any of their usual V or GF annotations for special diets. I asked if it was gluten free, to which he replied, “Ummmm, I don’t know……it maybe is a little glutenous?” What does that even mean? It either is or it isn’t. He seemed very impatient and not at all interested in taking 5 steps backward toward the kitchen to ask someone that might know. I didn’t even bother to ask any further questions. No soup for me!

Lovely cafe! It has a separate entrance from outside the museum or there is an entrance directly accessible from within. The food and coffee were delightful, with generous portions.

We went to visit for lunch over winter break when kids were out of school, maybe our mistake. It was packed and our food took forever. We got the sweet potato sandwich, winter salad with chicken and cranberry pound cake. Food was good, but not great, especially compared to their sister store Lola's. Very expensive also, probably because of the proximity to the Luminarium, but I don't see us coming back here anytime the Luminariam is open. Lola's will continue being our go to!

Gorgeous space. Loved the representation of different Omaha business: they have bread and pasties from Lola's and Artemis teas. The food is good but simple. We enjoyed vanilla lattes the seasonal quiche as well as the turkey sandwich. My only complaint is that sandwiches don't come with sides. So, the meal is pretty plain. Other than that it really is an enjoyable place with beautiful views.

Lunch for 16! Called the day ahead and reserved a table for 16 for a work secret Santa lunch, super accommodating, had a table together with water napkins and silverware all for us! We we're all on one check, we went up to the bar to order, and all food came out super quick I thought for 16 guests. Everyone gave their rating of their food and no one gave their plate less then a 8.5/10, and all plates were empty by the time we left! It was easy to find (located on the south of the building by the playground), parking is easy to find in the parking lot, and complimentary. I personally had the winter salad and salmon toast, and I loved the cheve on top of the salad and the sweet potatoes were cooked perfectly and not too hard or too soft which I was worried about. I also enjoyed a mini Grove juice for lunch, which was fabulous! Can't wait to come back and check out the Kiewit Luminarum and Fig again soon!

Great place to grab a warm drink and quick snack on our way into the Luminarium. Definitely recommend the vanilla latte and pumpkin bread.

Ordered to go, got a delivery fee on the receipt, which they later left the food in a container on their counter without calling out that it is ready or whose food that was, nor “delivering” it to me as I was sitting right in front of the cashier. Even though it was not a table-service thing, and I did left some tip when the guy gracefully turned the ipad “this shouldn’t take too long, just gonna ask you a few questions”. It was just disappointing given the location and the height it could have been. They also selectively ask if you are members of the museum, which is weird. Just incompetent people hopefully.

We went for their monthly special event in the evening. They host a new theme each month, except Dec. I highly recommend that if you want to go make your reservation far in advance. Not only do they feature their chefs, but this month they also had an appetizer, tamales, which were delicious, from the only Puerto Rican restaurant in town Elies. I am visiting my sister so have not tried their normal daily food but she says it is delicious and so is the coffee.

We came here for lunch on a Saturday. It's a beautiful open space - lovely to spend a Saturday afternoon in! We both loved our food and got coffee as well. Some great options that would please everyone. The service was a little slow, but it was a busy Saturday, so entirely understandable. I'd love to come back for dinner or a drink!

We love Fig! The hot lattes are extremely good, the egg/cheese/bacon sandwich + pastries are better than the ones at Lola cafe (maybe I went on an off day) + chia seed pudding is phenomenal. Lowkey one of the best breakfast places in Omaha without needing to wait at all (for now) and a way nicer
