I loved this bar! The vibes were immaculate. Our server, Taylor, was absolutely adorable. We were visiting from Seattle and looking for fun areas to explore. Taylor gave us great Mezcal recommendations from Ghost Donkey’s wide variety and other Omaha exploration suggestions. The food was really good. Nothing over the top. Seasoned beautifully. Taylor really made our experience a 10/10!

Super cool place with great drinks! Some drinks come with a miniature donkey pinata you get to keep. It wasn't busy at all and we were the only customers there when we visited but also, it was a Sunday evening. Will definitely come back!

I’ve been here 3 times now so I figured I would finally put in a review. My friend and I stopped in after leaving an event in the park. Each time I’ve come I’ve gotten better and better service. I’ve enjoyed this place as not only in agave spirit, lover, but also a mixologist myself who loves to see the unique Mixology that goes on into these beautifully crafted cocktails, that you will not see anywhere else. La chispa was so great with that hint of habanero and tang from the acv. I got to talk to the bartender a bit about their shrub in it! They were super cool! Oaxacan is always another favorite. The three bartenders behind the bar Saturday night, and the one server were all a delight and very knowledgeable and friendly. Even with it being a somewhat hectic night. I will agree, with some of the comments of the music is a little loud. I tried to just keep in mind that maybe it’s me getting older and I just can’t keep up. I do like to be able to talk to my friends and hear them. None the less. The music is great. Also, before opening, I was told there would be gluten-free options. I see online now that there is a gluten sensitive menu. Nothing is labeled on the menu in house, though. There have been a couple places downtown that have had options, but they told me due to not being able to communicate clearly with the kitchen, they would not be able to ask them to change gloves or anything like that since I have celiac disease. Although that is a disappointment for me, I am still very happy to come in even if it’s just for cocktails. The photos are from the first time I came. I could not remember the two drinks. I tried that night, but I do remember they were also lovely!

Visited Omaha for the Tyler Childers concert we found Ghost Donkey. Excellent food, service was fantastic, the drinks were amazing. We are already planning a road trip just for GD again.

Ghost Donkey in Omaha has my heart. This bar has an exquisite energy with lights, fun decor, and a well furnished outdoor seating area. The range of mezcals is fabulous! Since spending a stint of time in Oaxaca City, I’ve craved a thoughtful mezcal menu and this genuinely put me over the moon. The staff was friendly and helped recommend some popular options for my tastes (herbal, spiced) and offered me their different types of salts for accompaniment. Personally, if I have an option of a good Mezcal, I’m simply sipping straight! My friends tried different cocktails. The fun garnishes such as a rubber donkey were little crowd pleasers for sure. My friends did not all enjoy their drinks, and that is a risk that you take when trying a more niche type of bar with unique options. Everyone DID enjoy the opportunity to try new mixtures and feel adventurous with their beverages! Some people stuck to simple strawberry margaritas, and if you aren’t feeling adventurous, something classic will always do.
With the decor setting, the thoughtful cocktails, and wide range of agaves, I personally felt right at home here and will most definitely be returning time and time again!

This place has a crazy-cool vibe and decor. Our waiter was super attentive and was quick getting the drinks for my group. I don’t drink, so he suggested a non-alcoholic drink. I don’t know what it was called, but it was absolutely delicious and refreshing. It had ginger in it and cucumber.
Gabriel went above and beyond to make our experience special! Very knowledgeable of menu and even able to answer our questions about the area. He deserves a raise! We’ll definitely be back!

Cool idea, but really set a bad tone to have to be metal detector wanded and bags searched to enter a nearly empty bar, early Saturday night. Cocktails were fun and unique with a member of our party enjoying the tequila flight. Too many other speakeasy style bars in Omaha with top notch service and style, this one needs a bit refinement or switch to just a regular bar with regular bar clientele and pricing.
