Heartland Barbecue is our go-to spot. We eat here all the time, and it never disappoints. It is a fantastic little family-owned restaurant with consistently good food and generous portions. Everything we have tried has been flavorful and satisfying, and you can tell it is made with care. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and appreciative of their customers. It feels like one of those neighborhood places you are genuinely happy to support because they do things right. There is always room to grow, but this place is absolutely worth coming back to again and again. Highly recommend if you are in Omaha and want solid, reliable barbecue.
By far one of the best BBQ joints in Omaha very friendly staff and cashier and the prices are great they've been at the same location for a very long time and that says a lot

One of the absolute best briskets I've had from a BBQ place. The staff are extremely friendly and great at what they do. Also, the radio is chill. We almost drove by thinking they were closed, don't make that mistake!

Very delicious, never been! Wish I had known of this sooner! It's absolutely delicious! I got the brisket sandwich and was full. Friend got the whole dinner it was amazing pork with brisket with baked beans cucumber salad corn bread said it was yummy. So 👍 if you get a chance go!

Hartland is sooooo good. I’m a BBQ snob, and this place is top tier. Even just their cold ribs you can buy and reheat at home are FIRE! 🔥🔥🔥☄️☄️☄️

Went in yesterday with my husband and order dinners I had the sausage and brisket and I had said green beans and potato salad but then next thing I saw they had a cucumber something so I change my green beans for that but when I got my food I was thinking and thinking did I change the greens or potato salad but I got the was the cucumber and the baked beans not the green beans next thing u know I had said spicy on the bbq that wasn't spicy and then we had got the homemade lemonade which in my opinion it wasn't homemade lemonade because it didn't taste nothing homemade and then when I started eating the food I didn't even eat the sides because it was nasty especially the cucumber and I'm not a big fan of baked beans but later we left and my stomach was not feeling good all day just felt like throwing up all day and food was just not digesting sorry but not a good place I think the only thing good was the cornbread but a little dry

Return to the very next day and was disappointed that the ribs I ordered today tasting nothing like the ones I had yesterday. Barely any flavor 😔. I guess this place is one of those spots that are hit or miss depending on the day of the week. (2nd Pic)
This place has the Best BBQ in Omaha so far. I know everyone taste is different especially me being from the south. The meat is well seasoned and smoked to perfection and the sides are dumb good. This is real BBQ. (1st Pic)

Spent a good amount of time finding my favorite bbq spots in Omaha and Hartland is definitely top 3 for me. Brisket is done well. They actually have chicken on the menu. Most importantly they don’t skimp on the sauce. Bonus points for the very nice lady working the counter.
Other local bbq spots overcook their brisket, don’t even serve chicken and send you off with a 2oz cup of sauce for half a pound of meat. Awkward service & odd hours to top it off.
Hartland consistently delivers where the other guys falls short.
