I ordered a veggie bowl to go and they gave me a baja which has shrimp in it. Didn't realize it till i got home and i am allergic to shrimp.

We ordered and got chips immediately but they seemed a bit stale. Our food took about 40 minutes to get to the table and they really weren't that busy. I had asked for cheese on top. He said there was an up charge but when I got it I am guessing there was 1 tablespoon of cheese not 4oz I was charged almost $5 for. We have eaten here many times but that was definitely our last!!

I’ve been going to this restaurant since they opened. At their best, they were 3 to 3 1/2 stars Today I ordered simple, mixed Chips and salsa. The salsa was OK, but the chips were sparse in quantity and burnt This is a continuing trend for this Restaurant and no longer worth my patronage and money. There are so many other better choices.

We tried this place out for first, and it was pleasantly good. The food was great, ordered the beef fajitas, enchiladas and tacos entrees, and their San Diego style chicken soup. Their salsa and chips were freshly made, and the salsa had flavor. Fajitas came with some guacamole, sour cream, rice , refried beans, bell peppers, and stripes of tender beef. Enchiladas and taco came with a side of refried beans and rice. The soup had carrots, potatoes, pork, and chicken meat. I would recommend this place to my friends or anybody!

The food was very good but the service was awful. We ordered our drinks when we first sat down. The food came out really quick, but our server never came back even though he walked past us multiple times without making eye contact. We finally had to go up to the hostess to ask for our bill. We also had to ask twice for to go boxes. Unfortunately we will not be back due to the staff there.

5 stars for no other reason than they don’t “surcharge” their customers for paying via CC. They have transparent menu pricing, and if you want to pay with cash they will give you a 4% discount. This is how it should be done. Kudos to you, Hectors!

First time we have been to this restaurant. The salsa was great. Mine and wife's food was very good. Service was excellent.
Party of 10 including 3 kids. Was told they were honoring Monday Special of Kids Eat Free. Bills come and the kids meals were still on the checks. When questioned, advised they weren't honoring it for Cinco de Mayo. Also charged $22 for the margarita special that came with a t-shirt, but didn't get it. Asked to speak to a manager. Group stood over in a circle and talked about us but manager never came over. Server came back and said they would honor the kids meals but didn't bring a shirt. Sorry, they ran out. The margarita price wasn't adjusted. Most disappointed that the manager didn't have the courage to come to the table to address the situation and avoided any type of conflict to resolve issues. Not sure we will go back.

I have not visited this place since before they moved locations from 84th & Center. I was horribly disappointed. The food was terrible and service subpar. The chips were stale, guacamole was bland. We ordered the chilaquiles, which were super salty. The hostess was not at all friendly when we walked in, it was like doing the minimum. Once seated, it took forever to get acknowledged and we had to continue to ask for things to be brought to us- they are not proactive on asking or anticipating that you may need extra things such as appetizer plates or ketchup for kids chicken nuggets. I was mostly confused at our server telling us they didn’t have any more lemonade when it was the only drink we were ordering, so the kids decided to go with just water instead. But when I asked someone else if we could get some other juice for them instead of water we erre offered lemonade and brought lemonade… No one, including our server checked on what we thought of the food. When we walked out the hostess/ girl at the front did not even look up so say goodby or thank you. Really disappointing and much different experience of what Hector used to be before they moved locations - must be under new ownership.

Go to hectors if you want to not see your server the whole time unless your food comes and she’s ready for you to leave. No asking about how the food is in between. No refills on anything (chips or drinks).
If you don’t know the owner or the server then don’t expect to get good service. Will not be coming back.
