Big Mama’s Kitchen and Catering is an Omaha staple started by Patricia “Big Mama” Barron after her successful career in telecommunications. What began as a side gig catering company out of Big Mama’s own kitchen has expanded to a legacy being upheld by Big Mama’s family. Your money being spent here goes directly into the community, with Ms. Gladys (Big Mama’s daughter) often donating to funerals/community events/etc. There is even a scholarship available for neighbors recently released from corrections; a culinary arts degree from Metro Community College. Big Mama’s presence is still strong in North Omaha, and Big Mama’s Kitchen and Catering are making sure that legacy continues on for years to come. Thank you for opening up the Big Mama family so we can all raise up this wonderful woman and her tenacity.

First time here and WOW! Absolutely delicious. Definitely makes me miss home and our almost southern comfort food! Highly recommend.
