The cornbread was insanely delicious. The turkey moist and tender. A unique cornbread stuffing that I couldn’t stop eating.

Big Mama’s Kitchen and Catering is an Omaha staple started by Patricia “Big Mama” Barron after her successful career in telecommunications. What began as a side gig catering company out of Big Mama’s own kitchen has expanded to a legacy being upheld by Big Mama’s family. Your money being spent here goes directly into the community, with Ms. Gladys (Big Mama’s daughter) often donating to funerals/community events/etc. There is even a scholarship available for neighbors...
Nice space for hosting events and eating at The Highlander. Lots of tables for seating. Nice parking. Soul food , burgers, and a new Asian kitchen station opening soon. Great location for north Omaha and midtown Omaha area.
