Pretty tasty overall, and the service was excellent. As others have said, the buns do have a lot of dough. More filling would definitely be better.
Either way, the prices are reasonable, and they have fun things to try.

Delicious food and the best staff in the world.
one of our favorite restaurants in Omaha always delicious and the people who own the restaurant are always so kind and helpful. positive experience every time, cannot recommend enough!
Holy dough, Batman! The amount of dough they use for their buns and dumplings are so thick I thought I was eating Wonderbread. I'm not sure if it's because it was delivery, but damn these were barely edible. They tasted lackluster even when you eventually get to the filling. These were two different experiences. Friends also said the same thing. Do not recommend 😩

Food was not good. Meat to dough ration was uneven. No flavor and stalled. I really thought I’d like it because of the good reviews but it was a disappointment

Was so excited to try this place but ended up disappointed. The steamed pork bao did not taste homemade, and looked like it was made in a cookie cutter dough tray. The inside did not have a ton of meat, and tasted like it was not seasoned. The Beijing noodles were cooked well and al dente but there was little flavor to the sauce and meat, and not enough of it.

Yummy food and super-friendly owners. This is the first time I went into the restaurant instead of ordering. I will definitely go back to the restaurant more often now.

Hip Bao is fantastic! The owner was so kind and welcoming, and the food was excellent. We had the pork vermicelli bowl, beef steam-fried bao, and pork dumpling soup—all delicious. Highly recommend!

First time checking this place out, will definitely be back. I had the beef noodle soup and pork bao. It was truely some of the best Asian food I have had in ages. Service was also great, asked for recommendations and was more than pleased with the outcome! I would post photos, but all that is left to show are empty dishes.

Literally the nicest owners. They make you feel very welcome! We've tried a little bit of everything and each dish was absolutely delicious! They give you samples of different things that they offer while you eat. They keep the eating area spotless. I would give them way more than 5 stars if i could. If you haven't been here definitely try them out!
Vegetarian options: They have fried vegetarian bao, dumpling noodle soup, pot stickers, and spring rolls.
Kid-friendliness: The owner makes you and your kids feel very welcome.
