Incredible brunch, impeccable service and the best Mexican food in Omaha

We normally enjoy Howards but not today!! May 25,2025 We placed our order we waited quite awhile for chips and dip (guacamole after a bit she brought me my pork chili which was cold I asked her to heat it up no apology no nothing then she brought me 2 enchiladas which I only ordered 1 she took it away and brought 1 which it was cold I asked if they were having problems in the kitchen she replied do you want me to heat it up wow who want to eat cold food, we didn't even get sorry about that or an apology. It was a very bad experience should of went to Taco Bell at lease they fix what's wrong. Good luck serving your customers this way. The money you spend ant lease ley your food be hot> Good Luck

The food was very disappointing over cooked in old grease server acted like she didn't care our food was horrible! Was giving them a second try well I will absolutely never go again

I have been going to Howard’s since I was a child and it was on 24th street. Food has always been good, however their prices have gotten out of control!!! I always have the enchiladas and bean tostada. The last time I had dinner there they are charging $4.99 for a BEAN tostada, and sadly this time the beans were very bland. The small enchilada is now up to $4.99 as well!! I was very sad to see such high prices for a place that use to be reasonably priced.

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 20+ years and the owners changed a few years back. The menu prices changed but THEY didn’t change them all and do not want to honor the prices. It’s not like I go looking for a certain menu. The new lady owner wanted to be argumentative about a sign is posted. Who is looking for signs I went in and ate dinner I didn’t go checking for signs. I barely looked at the menu only to show my mother a price so she could call and order. But that’s ok. The lack of care for customers shows me all I need to know after 20+ years we will not be back.

I ended up leaving after 45 min of waiting. I wanted shrimp, they were out ..oddly. and they never came back to take my new order so I gave up and left. Will never go back.

Food was really good, our server was amazing. However, the old ahh lady who works here is very rude and creates an uncomfortable environment. I would recommend picking up the food and not dining in if she’s here, she might start loudly talking about you indirectly.

The food, service, and atmosphere at Howard's are always top notch. First time here was when I was a child and my family took us there. Still excellent.
Parking: Narrow alley access to very accomodating parking lot behind restaurant. Main entrance to Howard's is sidewalk level right on 13th Street.
