Hubby and I came here to try this place. The hostess kept scratching her self digging in her hair and filing her nails. All while Touching people’s food and plates. I asked for a straw for my drink she grab the straws with her hands without washing them. We paid for the appetizers and left.

Ika is great for ramen lovers. I usually get the Mary Jane with extra Ajitama or corn. I like the decor and general vibe but only 4 stars because service at the Benson location is pretty inconsistent depending on the day. The Papillon location has better service.

ika was my favorite restaurant in omaha until today. My boyfriend and I have regularly eaten here for years. My server was on her phone when we came in and got our drink orders wrong, but no big deal, didn't really bother me. She took our order, but was unable to put it in due to the system being down. Understandable, stuff happens. But she is on the phone with managment being loud and unprofessional, making the vibes really weird. She then brought us the wrong appetizer, walks away before we can say anything. When she came back we told her and she picked it up and brought it to the only other table with people, and they already had their boxes. I heard them say it was sour. Okay but after a long while of listening to her be frustrated we get our food. TWO HAIRS in our appetizer (calamari) IT LOOKED LIKE RACCOON HAIR!!!!!!! Our ramen didnt taste right, and i had a small piece of GLASS or PLASTIC in there. Avocado was brown and mushy. I had to leave and tell my boyfriend to deal with it.
worst restaurant experience ive had in a long time. Maybe ever. Food Quality has gone down drastically and service was terrible. I dont blame the server as much as the management. Idk whats happening in the kitchen but thats actually crazy.
Thankfully she comped our food without us having to ask. Still terrible time and will not be back until quality returns.

I used to love the ramen here and have been getting the spicy miso for years, but unfortunately the quality has steadily been getting worse. The texture of the noodles tonight was strange and they weren’t over/under cooked… it was just an entirely different noodle altogether and it wasn’t good. The meat used to be flavorful too but tonight it appeared pale and tasted bland. Really disappointed 🥺 probably won’t be going again.

If you like Kimchi, definitely try the fried kimchi. Ive never been disappointed by anything I’ve tried here and the weekend servers are always super nice. Probably my favorite ramen shop in Omaha, especially the Benson area one.

Came here to share some plates with friends, and nearly everything was honestly horrible... We got: - Carb Rangoon Sushi: it was like $18 and was so small???? And it didn't present at ALL like crab rangoons. So so disappointing) - Fried Chicken: was like 80% veggies which were AMAZING but the chicken was horrible and had a an awful texture) - Spicy Noods: Practically inedible. It was so spicy that that was the ONLY flavor you could taste. - Walnut Shrimp: it came with a HUGE pile of the rice crisp things on top? Hated how the tasted and it took me a SOLID 3 minutes just to take them all off the dish. I kid you not I seriously couldn't even see the shrimp when it came out. I literally FORGOT it came with rice until I uncovered it. Shrimp itself was ok, hated that they put walnut chunks in the rice?? Very very weird.
Also, there was a live dj in the basement and the bass was so loud. It was horrible.
The only good thing I can say about this place was that the server was nice and patient with us, and the tempura veggies in the fried chicken were good. I will absolutely not be coming back here. Incredibly disappointing.

The SPICY SEAFOOD RAMEN 🤤… recommended by my server Monica and it did NOT disappoint. I switched up the egg to the soy marinated one (her suggestion as well). If I lived in Omaha I’d be here at least 1x a week.

I visited the restaurant between 11 am and 12:45 pm. The server’s initial attitude was unfriendly and indifferent. However, she improved her demeanor later on and became more approachable and professional. Initially, I was prepared to write a one-star review, but due to her positive change, I ended up giving it a two-star rating in the service section. I kindly request that management have a conversation with the server about how to maintain a positive behavior moving forward.

I used to really love this place but hadn’t been back in a very long time. I was passing through Omaha and decided to stop and it pains me to say this but I wish I kept on going. They changed the Ika Geso. It used to be rings of calamari and now it’s large tentacles. But there was no flavor and they came out soggy and cold. I also ordered the tonkostsu ramen with an extra egg. The pork belly was hard and tough. The broth was alright but not as flavorful as it used to be. Also my ajitamas were ice cold. I barely ate my food and ended up packing it up and leaving early, hoping I could revive it at home. Super sad as this used to be one of my favorite ramen places.
