If you enjoy spending many hours through the night in the bathroom, I highly recommend this place.
Never again. I will not add photos as you probably don't want to see what happened.

It’s not often I’d give a place a full 5 stars across the board, but Ika San is a place I find my comfort, rather that be comfort food or comfort environment. The male server with the neck tattoo is definitely a 10/10 in looks, service, and vibes. I’ve never seen a place where the server I normally see REMEMBERS my exact order and provided a personable experience of friendliness and care. I’ve brought 4 friends and counting to try Ika San and I’ll continue to do so as this place is a MUST HAVE hole in the wall that is honestly under appreciated in my book. If I could honestly give a bigger and better rating, you betcha I would.

I got a shrimp walnut rice bowl I was pretty disappointed the shrimp wasn’t very hot and barely had sauce on it. (Got a side of the sauce it tasted like honey mustard). Also no walnuts. The ramen was very much like soup out of a can. We did get the shishito pepper crab appetizer which was the only thing that was actually good. I would try again but I think I will stick to appetizers because the entrees seemed lack luster. The service was good. Just seemed like I paid 55 dollars to still be hungry after.

Came in for a late lunch. I had wonderful service from Ms. Casey and the fried Brussels sprouts were amazing!

First time visiting the restaurant and I really enjoyed it. Gloria was my server and she was very friendly and attentive. My food was very good, lots of flavor.

Food was decent could’ve been better, but my main problem and issue was that it was a pick up order and I paid with cash he gave me just a dollar back which my change was supposed to be a dollar with some change and I asked is there supposed to be any change? He said yeah, but I don’t carry change on me which when I come into a restaurant to pay, I expect my full change back. He did not inform me that there was going to be no change so I potentially could’ve paid with card if I would’ve known that issue but he just gave me the one dollar back and didn’t tell me or bring up that there would be no change until I brought it up to him.

It took over an hour to get our food. It was a Saturday afternoon, so it was busy. However they only had one person in the kitchen. Restaurants should be aware this is a busy time and ensure restaurants are properly staffed.
During this time, none of the waiters checked on us, refilled our water, or acknowledged the wait time. Being understaffed is understandable, not communicating is not. My food came out after an hour, and my husbands took another 10-15 minutes to come out.
The food was subpar, I got the poke ceviche, which was basically the equivalent of biting into a cold red onion. The onions were piled on, and there was barely any salmon or rice in it. It did not contain all of the ingredients that were listed on the menu either. The raw salmon was warm (you could tell it had been left sitting out) and not fresh at all.
My husband got the Mongolian beef and we also got the steam buns. Both of those items were good. We LOVE the shadow lake location. However, we will likely not return to this one.

The food quality has really went down hill. Previous visits were so good but this time the dishes didn't even look the same. The Mongolian beef is now just thin strips of beef with no flavor. The ramen was super thin and had very few noodles but mostly broth. I will say the edamame was really good!
Definitely a great place to go the bok choy the brussels sprouts no one does it like that. Always look forward to going back.

Normally I get the Tonkatsu, which is really good. But I switched it up this time to try the ceviche, and my friend got the spicy seafood ramen. It wasn't bad, but not nearly as good as the Tonkatsu.
Great service. We had a friendly waiter.

Great atmosphere, the ramen was amazing and the chicken dumplings would have sufficed as a meal!
The food was fantastic, friendly service with good music, and the Retro Crush on the monitors sealed the deal!
Will definitely return!!! ?✨

Long time fan of Ika Ramen, specifically the one in Benson. Downtown is good too. However, if you can avoid coming to the Village point location, do.
My boyfriend and I arrived to no music on, instead a weird podcast. Just two people having a conversation and laughing over the speakers for 20 minutes. Pretty overstimulating. Then random music started so I was pretty relieved. Our server was sweet but not very attentive. No small plates for apps, no napkins, watched our food sit while he stood in the corner, charged me for a refill on my coke but took it off once I pointed it out. Mary Jane (I get every time) was flavorless compared to other locations. Steam buns were dry. Thought I’d give this location another try, will not be doing that again.

My boyfriend and I were doing a surprise progressive dinner. We came here for our main entree. There were no hours posted on the doors. We walked in, and the one worker rolled his eyes at us. I asked if they were still open and he huffed and said “yeah, I guess for about 20 minutes”. I stated “okay, would ordering now be an inconvenience?” He again rolled his eyes and said “I mean I guess not”. So I replied, it’s okay, I don’t want to inconvenience you”. I’ve honestly never been so turned off at a restaurant in my entire life. I was in no way trying to be rude. I really didn’t want to be an inconvenience, which is why I asked. But the eye rolls, huff, were very off-putting. After reading the reviews, I’m actually glad we didn’t get served here!
