J. Gilbert's Wood-Fired Steaks & Seafood Omaha

Food was delicious, especially the crab bisque! Steak was cooked to perfection. Ambiance was very nice & service was amazing! Our waitress recommended we visit the Durham Museum, which we did the next day, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. She was wonderful during our dinner as well.

Absolutely phenomenal. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and food was out of this world. Highly recommend!

Overall wonderful experience. Took our granddaughter for her 16th Birthday! Great time for all of us!!

Our server Connie was amazing. She was attentive and helpful and made my birthday dinner perfect. We had the pan-roasted chicken and the short rib gnocchi. Both were delicious! The live music on Sunday evening is an added bonus.

We were celebrating a birthday and had an enjoyable experience. One issue was that the salmon on one of our orders was under cooked. We also placed two kids Mac & cheese orders. They didn't care for the Mac and cheese and were able to substitute it for butter noodles. We appreciated the wait staff and their attention to our needs.

We had a group of 5. Booked at last minute and they were able To accommodate on a Friday night. Everything we had was FABULOUS! For Starters we ordered carpaccio and crab cakes. Best any of us ever had and this group was from various states in US. The drinks,,,,if you like old fashions you need to order the one with Angels Envy! Talk about smooth. Best old fashion we've had. Lavender martini was excellent! The filet was cooked to perfection and all sides were delicious. The best accompaniment to the filet was blue cheese butter. One of the highlights of our evening was Logan our server. He was amazing!! Funny, gave great recommendations, and was very attentive. Would definitely recommend to others and go back when visiting Omaha.

Fantastic food and Brian was a fabulous waiter. It is very loud, but the food and service make up for that.

Lobster bisque soup was good. Seafood menu option was good.

I will pass on the dessert. Fruits looked soagy. For a restaurant of that caliber to serve dessert with not so appealing/appetizing fruits, I was disappointed. The dessert was a take out & not proud to say it but it went into the thrash. Perhaps, they can do better on keeping fruits fresh!

Other than that, main menu was good!

Amazing food and service!

Good steak and sides. Server was deceptive when offering soup or salad implying it was included in the price of the steak. Felt let down and had to pay for something I didn’t necessarily want.

My steak had so much salt on it I couldn’t eat a lot of it. Salmon was delicious. Mashed potatoes tasted similar to instant.

I attended a dinner here hosted by NSA ( National Sheriffs Convention) and the food as well as service was top tier!!!!

After three nights in Omaha and having steak each night, I wanted something different this evening for dinner, so I wanted to come here. I knew that J. Gilberts serves more than just steaks, as I’ve been to the one in Tysons Corner and loved that one.

There were four of us who came here for dinner… We started with cocktails, which took an odd amount of time to arrive at the table – we got half and then waited about 10 minutes for the other two to show up. Not sure what happened here, but those who got their drinks waited so we could all drink together and this made that moment a little off.

We started with their Pretzel Crusted Onion Rings – WOW!! These things were HUGE!!! The thickest and biggest onion rings I’ve ever seen or had and they were tasty! The pretzel crust was very tasty too.

I opted for their blackened chicken rigatoni for dinner. It was decent, but on the bland site. The roasted red pepper cream was interesting looking, but a scoop of blandness too. Overall I did like the flavor of the chicken and the sauce/texture was nice.

This visit was decent, but slight delays in service and food being on the bland side makes me want to give it 4 instead of 5 stars.

I was a walkin order. I get home and I'm missing a side! Rookie mistake! And I tipped Kailey $7-$8 to just take my order. SMH Check your own orders people!
