If there were an option to give negative stars, I would choose that.
This evening I placed an order and the app showed it as ready for pickup. When I arrived, a lady at the counter spoke to me very rudely, saying I had “just ordered” and that it would take one hour to prepare. She even told me in a harsh tone that if I wanted to cancel, I could go ahead.
After waiting an hour, when my order was finally ready, she pointed it out to another person with absolutely no politeness or courtesy. Her attitude was extremely rude, egoistic, and completely lacking in customer service skills.
With this kind of behavior by this LADY, it’s hard to see how Desi Bites will sustain its business in the long run.

Fish kadhai was sooooooo amazing if you enjoy fish in curry. If you’re going for fish here skip the pulusu and stick with kadhai (if you want sauce) or apollo (kabob style).

The chutneys for Dosa were bad - nowhere close to the Authentic Andhra peanut chutney taste. The Dosa itself was good though.
The Sev Puri had Authentic Chaat taste.

Food is not fresh. panner appetizer was like 2-3 days old very cold I can taste the batter not fully cooked and its rice was very spicy. But they have very good Irani chai. Biscuits were good when they used served warmer but now they are stacked outside.

If you are not part of their culture, they will not acknowledge you AT ALL, I stood there at the counter and made me feel like I was inconvenienced to be in there. Then, when I walked him to the counter, they still didn’t acknowledge me at all. They had their backs turned towards me, even though they knew I was standing there.

Some dishes are very good some are very average. Items that we liked as a group- Cashew biryani, chats, thate idli.
I order from this restaurant 2 times a month. I placed my order over the phone. I was told 20 minutes as usual. Got it Resturnat 20 minutes later, order is not ready, waited another 30 minutes and I ask twice for my order. Still not ready. After 50 minutes I asked 5 times for my order to be cancelled and for my money back. They do not want to cancel the order or give me the money back even though still order is not ready.

I went here with my friends to have a nice time but I ended up having a horrible time. I ordered the Samosa chaat and pani puri. There were a lot of people dining in so I expected my order to be late which was fine with me. But when I got my samosa chaat it was disgusting. It was just water and a samosa in the middle with a few beans around it. It was so bad none of my friends or I ate it. We wasted $8 on horrible samosa chaat. The pani puri was good but a bit hard and the Channa mixture tasted a bit old. The previous time I went there I got a dosa and papdi chaat. The dosa tasted old and stale I could not eat it. The papdi chaat was good but I started getting old pieces of potato in it so I had to pick it out and eat it. I would go here again to try something new but definitely will not be getting the samosa chaat or dosa. The store did have good and clean tables and area in general. But the food was not the best.

Veg Biryani I tried was good but had a extravagant amount of oil. Breads were frozen and reheated, not freshly made. Same with some of the deserts. They add extra oil/ghee on every dishes at the time of serving which is completely unnecessary. As they cook in lot of oil/ghee. All dishes on our plate left a copious amount of oil on the plate.
