I started @ The Bar. Chips ,guacamole & a CHILE PINA MARGARITA! THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED. IM GLAD I STOPPED IN. The Atmosphere is Welcoming, True to Ethnicity & Food reminded Me of being in A San Felipe Restaurant. I'll be Back.

This was the first time my family has eaten here and we will definitely be back. 15 minutes prior we were at a different restaurant but we got up and left due to a prolonged time waiting for service. When we got to La Mesa we were already in a time crunch (and a little hangry). We were greeted and seated promptly. We had a great server but it was loud and I didn’t catch her name unfortunately. While taking our order she had a hard time understanding us and kept apologizing and was very sweet about it. Knowing it isn’t her fault, none of us spoke Spanish, I feel bad for how much she apologized. She was quick with every request we had and the food was amazing. We were able to get seated, eat and go within an hour. Considering a 10+ top ordered right before us and we still got our food in under 15 minutes. Definitely my favorite place now.

This is a call to the owners of La Mesa restaurant, they should pay more attention to the service that their employees give to customers, the guy at the counter is really rude, the wait for the food is really ridiculous, I can't understand if it's because we arrived with work clothes to eat or why the service was terrible 4 years ago we went to a restart of the Table in another location and the service was excellent we are here for work we travel for work we have a project of more than 1 year about this restaurant for which we think would be an excellent choice to be regular customers, I think the treatment should be the same for all customers and if they are not willing to serve people in work clothes or because they are Latino they do not like serving us simply put a code clothing, the guy at the bar told us that there was a sign where it said there was a wait of 45 minutes to an hour which is a lie, there is no sign, he also said that there were 200 people before us when
When the restaurant says a lower figure in occupancy, I asked them in a good manner if they could place my takeout order because we had already waited a long time, they were rude, they gave me the dish, they treated me as if I had ordered the food as a gift...
I would like to know where the sign is where it says that the wait is more than 45 minutes...the chilaquiles were just chips with meat and a little sauce, it really feels bad to go to a Latin restaurant and have the staff be racist with their own race

LaMesa was pretty good. I enjoyed the margaritas a lot more than dinner, which wasn't bad. Just typical for a Omaha Mexican spot. I had a burrito with rice and beans. Service was pretty slow but they were very nice. Lots of parking.

Nice Mexican restaurant with a good ambiance and service. Prices have gone up though. A picture of margaritas is now over $36. Small taco salad was almost $16. I thought food used to be better
Order the family style fajitas. The meat, beans, and rice lacked flavor. Some of the tortillas were hard and we couldn’t use them. The sour cream was gritty.
I have been to the La mesa in Lake Manawa and the one near 108th and Maple and really enjoyed them. I will not be going back to this one.

I am incredibly disappointed with my recent experience at La Mesa, especially considering how loyal my friends and I have been to this restaurant for over 20 years. We dined there on a Monday night, which is known for its "Half-price taco" special. There were four of us, and we all ordered tacos. Two of us had combo meals that included rice and beans, so we didn’t expect those to be discounted, but the other two only ordered tacos, assuming the Monday night discount would apply as it always has at the Q Street location.
When the bill arrived, nothing was discounted. To make matters worse, we were also charged for two orders of cheese dip when we only had one. We brought this to the attention of the manager, who had been our waiter. Instead of handling the situation with understanding and professionalism, he was inconsiderate and downright rude. His response? "You should have told me when you ordered that you wanted the Monday special." Seriously? We’ve had the half-price tacos at the other location numerous times and never had to specify that we wanted the Monday special.
When four people come in on a Monday night and all order tacos, it should be clear that we expect the half-price deal. The manager’s snippy attitude and refusal to adjust the bill were unacceptable. He insisted that next time we need to tell them before ordering, but tonight we were expected to pay the full amount. It would have been a simple fix to adjust the bill and apply the discount, but instead, we were treated poorly and left feeling cheated.
After two decades of patronage, it’s disheartening to say that we won’t be returning to this La Mesa. The lack of customer service and the rudeness of the manager have lost you some very loyal customers.

My wife and i ate at your place for the first last night and it was great. She thought the taco meat would be spicy but it wasn't and she wished she had ordered more than 1 taco.. I also really liked the food, service and atmosphere. I had 2 tacos & refried beans..excellent. My brother in law has been there before and i am glad he took us. Next time when we are back visiting, we will stop again for more good food & service.. Our waiter was very helpfull & freindly.
