I wasn't a big fan of the potatoes,juat felt like missing something. The meat on my Philly on pita was really good, lots of flavor. Food was ready when I arrived and still hot when I got home. I wish I had taken a photo of my Philly, but next time.

Legacy Gyro is hands down one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I’ve ever been to. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the smell of freshly grilled meats and spices. The gyros were perfectly seasoned, juicy, and wrapped in warm, fluffy pita. I also tried the falafel and hummus — both incredibly fresh and flavorful. Portions were generous, and everything tasted homemade. The restaurant itself is clean and has a welcoming, casual vibe. If you’re craving authentic Mediterranean food with great service and fair prices — Legacy Gyro is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

The moussaka is so, so good! I do wish the serving size was a bit bigger for the price, but considering what a pain in the neck it is to make moussaka from scratch, it ends up being worth it. And their Greek potatoes are the best I have ever had! Lovely staff, fast service. Legacy is our favorite Greek restaurant in Omaha.

I immediately noticed that they were not Greek. The man said that he had purchased the business 2 years ago and that his family was from Tajikistan. He was a very polite and humble man and as we talked he introduced me to his family. They make the same food in the same way as the Greeks who made this place popular. He and his family are deserving of your patronage for that alone, but even more so for the truly good people that they are, their of love their new country, and of now being Americans.
Kid-friendliness: The owners kids work with them and we're more fun and informed about the world around them than 95% of adult American kids. It made me sad for my country honestly. Kid friendly? You'll wish your kids acted like theirs.

The food was so flavorful & delicious!! I had the chicken gyro & my husband had the gyro. We also both got the Greek potatoes... yum!! We ordered delivery and the food was still a good temperature and nicely arranged when it arrived. The tzatziki was SO good, I ordered extra. The pita bread is also great! I had tried Legacy Gyros several years ago and did not think it was that great, but they really knocked it out of the park this time!! (The chicken seemed better, the tzatziki better, more flavorful, etc.) - I will definitely be returning soon!

Very clean, prompt service, presentation...Excellent. Food, meh. Not every place will completely wow me. The Gyro was pretty plain tasting overall. I guess I was expecting just a lot more wow factor with the "Best of Omaha" rating.
