We dined at Mio last night. What a gem! Starting with the antipasti, 4 different meats, at least that many different cheeses & olives. The fresh mozzarella was so incredibly buttery. Our table of 6 was overwhelmed by the food & the portion size. Chef Anthony visited our table twice. Our server was attentive, caring & loved her position which is sometimes rare. Loved the entire experience.

This was a wonderful experience with my friends. Efficient service within a relaxed Italian environment. Even with a bit higher price, portion sizes are good and meal came with bread and salad. Very nice people and they treated us with kindness as valued guests. Will be coming back!

Went for a belated birthday dinner. When our server, Rose, learned this, she made sure my dad was treated to a birthday dessert. Prior to that, she went through the menu with us & wine recommendations. We had the beef raviolis to start. I ordered the pesto tortellini, my mom ordered the fettuccine alfredo, and my dad & hubs ordered the lasagna bolegnese. The food was wonderful, and the portions were large. We all took part of our meals & desserts home. Rose & Isaiah took great care of us. The music and the ambiance were very relaxing.
If you're looking for a nice Italian restaurant, I highly recommend Mio Italiano.

A true neighborhood restaurant sure to please all generations.

When a restaurant hits the trifecta, I have no other choice but to leave a review. From the moment I walked into Mio Italiano, I knew I HAD to capture some pics. Mio Italiano has the right balance of ol' skool charm with a cozy, modern look. It's very clean and that includes their restrooms (very important).

Our server was personable, sweet and "real".

The food was delicious. Along with their delicious olive oil bread dip, I enjoyed a cup of pasta fazool, the lasagna with bolognese sauce and cannoli for dessert.

I included photos of their wine cellar (available for private gatherings).

Parking: Plenty of parking behind the restaurant.

What a change and we love it. We routinely went to the former restaraunt here and we will definitely be back for more of this version. The food was good and the service was excellent. It is so clean and bright now, like an Italian restaraunt inn the old country. If you thought you knew this place, go again and revel in the improvements. They did change the tomatoe basil so be prepared...I like the old version best. Our new love for good eats.

A big surprise in a small Italian restaurant! The veal was tender and the Marsala wine gravy was yummy. I had chicken Parm which was flavorful and delicious. Anthony and his crew are doing Italian food right! Ask for the butter gooey dessert cake, we were in heaven. ??

Ever since La sol mio closed, we have been skeptics about trying the new place. We finally decided to give it a try last night, and all I can say is that I can’t believe I have wasted so much time not going here! This place is incredible, and by far the best Italian restaurant in Omaha. The food was rich and creamy and cooked to perfection. We appreciate the nod they gave to the old owners with a few of the past traditions being present in the food service, but we love that the new owners have made this their own with amazing recipes and great service. Thank you Misty for your incredible service and making our dinner special. We will be back regularly! Thank you for bringing quality Italian food back to Omaha and without being so high priced that the average family can’t come to dinner. Love love love!

[We arrived right when it opened, thus, the reason it was empty in my attached photos.] A true neighborhood restaurant sure to please all generations. Our server seemed a little frazzled right from the start. Slow to get cocktails ordered and delivered. Slow to get food out, to the point other people were running her order out and letting her know that orders were waiting for her in the kitchen. She charged me for a cup of soup that was included with my entree. Order food came out barely warm (probably due to not being brought out when ready). First time diner will probably give them a second chance only because of the quality of the food.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever experienced! Made reservations for 3 ppl, they seat us at a 6 top in the middle of restaurant. Asked for smaller table, which may where open, was told no! Order beverages, wine was worse the the worse box wine. Took our order rather quickly and came out with salads. No bread, needed to ask twice when bread arrived it was a combo of different types of bread and server said “I hope you like this as we didn't have normal bread”. It was cold and hard. We then waited 1-1/2 hours for our horrible meals to come out! Was told they ran out of Alfredo sauce, meatballs and marinara sauce! I'm sorry your an Italian restaurant, and you couldn't have told us this an hour ago. When I spoke with owner/manager and confirmed I will not be paying for meals when they come out. Should have ran far away. Meals came out... marinara sauce was actually a can of sour tomato paste and the Alfredo sauce tasted like fish soap. Meatballs came out in the form of 3 very well done sausage. This is poor management at its best, no accountability and very bad food! Save yourself the headache go somewhere else.

Mio Italiano uses 4 person tables for parties of 2. That leaves plenty of space for food and drinks so you do not feel crowded. All questions about the food choices were accurately answered. Water and pop never went dry. The food was excellent and I have enough leftovers for another meal so we'll worth the price.

Excellent ambiance. Salad , bread, drinks all very good. Steaks and pasta dishes very good, except the manicotti was low average at best. It was actually better as a leftover the next day. Deserts were all enjoyed. Steaks are on the pricey side , but excellent quality. Overall good value for the cost. A relaxing , enjoyable experience.
