It appeared they were understaffed and were trying to stay afloat. The table was not ready for us and our drinks never were refilled. I ordered the berries and bleu salad and they did not dress it with the vinaigrette. The steak entrée was good.

We had the Beef Wellington ! What an experience together we had. The staff was so sweet and answered questions and offered advice. The Beef Wellington was out of the park 10 Stars ! Visit Monarch if you ever are in Omaha !

First time dining at Monarch. We were there for our anniversary before going to a show at the Orpheum. Service was attentive. Drinks were good, bread and salad tasty and main courses delicious!

Great venue, great food, great service! I truly appreciate that they pay very close attention to Gluten Free dietary needs. My wife is allergic and their accommodations are outstanding and appreciated!

My husband and I went to The Monarch for dinner. We had excellent service. We both ordered the Steak Frite cooked medium rare. The steak was juicy and tender, very tasty. The fries are SO GOOD! The restaurant is part of a hotel built in the early 1930's, the decor was very nice. It's a small quaint restaurant with excellent service.

Apps were awesome the Steak and Frites was really good. Chicken Roulade was just ok, pretty dry and the potatoes had no seasoning what so ever did not match the description on the menu. Carrots were basically uncooked just peeled and glazed. Was a neat spot that could be really awesome. For the price though I will go somewhere else next time.

Great food and restaurant! It was not very busy, so it felt very secluded and intimate. Very classy and unique restaurant!

Great place to eat prior to a show at the Orpheum Theatre. Lovely atmosphere and good food selection. Fabulous drinks. PLUS you could valet park for dinner and stay there until after the show for only $15.00. We will go back again when we are attending an event at the Orpheum. Was relaxing to have a leisurely dinner and know we were steps away from our event. Would normally eat in the Old Market and then have to head up the street and find parking. Not if you dine at the Monarch.

Monarch is our favorite dinner spot before a show at the Orpheum. We had Ceci as our waitress, and she offered us a complimentary glass of Prosecco and/or Cabernet once she heard we were going to the theater afterwards. Ceci said offering this is customary before a show, but it is the first time a server has offered this to us. We were so grateful! 😊 Ceci was helpful, friendly, and provided exceptional service. We will definitely be back!

The vibe of the restaurant is great and the service was phenomenal. However the meal itself fell short of expectations. I ordered a steak and while it came out the correct temperature, it had zero sear on the outside of it.

Cheyenne was our server and was just the right amount of attentive. Food was delicious! Only complaint is that it was FREEZING where we were sitting; but someone else must have said something because it seemed to moderate as we were there.

A very good first time experience. Much if the credit is due to our server. It was very busy with a pre-show for the Orpheum. At first we felt neglected but once seated, our server did his best to devote time and attention to our questions and requests. The duck was average as far as its taste and texture and the gnocchi was good but comparable to other places. The mussels were very good and the wine was first rate. Our server was very kind and attentive to our need to be out in time for the show. A very good experience.

We took our granddaughter to Monarch to celebrate her birthday. Our server, Ceci, was helpful and attentive. We had the Fried Brussels for an appetizer, and they were delicious! Our entrees were the tortelloni pesto, the potato-crusted salmon, and the ribeye steak. All were delicious and we took home leftovers. We love going to Monarch before a show at the Orpheum.

Overall we did enjoy our dining experience here. The best were the drinks and the Brazilian steak with chili butter! We were a bit disappointed with the extremely high cost of pasta with no protein, it has to be a 80% profit margin for sauce and noodles. The worst part was the service specifically to us. We sat for about 5 minutes before the host came to apologize and get us drinks for the sever. She was busy but wouldn't even look at us for a solid 10mins. In the entire time we were there she was having great covnos with the other tables and staying on top of everything for them. She only came to our table twice to get the food order and fill/reorder our completely empty drinks. Oh, Then the check drop. I won't speculate too far as to why all the other tables got way more attentiveness but we were the youngest ppl there. We were 10yr veteran servers and so we still tipped 20% but she missed out on 30-35% tippers
