I stopped for lunch on Friday. I was the only customer. The building is a little musty smelling. Best get your food to go.

I ordered Saturday afternoon online and was turned away after they had some technical difficulties. I tried to ask what would happen to my order after I already paid for it but I was ignored. Waiting to be called or I don’t know refunded?! I had to call and have the situation resolved days later! I’ve had multiple restaurants compensate me after an error happened on their part but I wasn’t even offended an apology here. The food is delicious but how the situation was handled was disappointing.

I can assure you this is the best place for the cuisines of India. I am an Indian, so I know most of the Indian dishes are time-consuming to bring their real flavour. These guys start cooking after they receive the order and serve it fresh. I recommend this small building if you want to taste the authentic Indian flavours.

Picked up some Chicken Tikka, samosas and garlic naan and everything was FANTASTIC! So fresh and hot, perfect blend of spices and enough so I have leftovers for lunch. Thank you!!!

Some of the best Indian food in Omaha!! They do take out, but you can dine in too. Seating is a little bit limited, but the food is definitely worth any wait! A hidden gem, diamond in the rough!

I order from here all the time. It is really good authentic Indian food. Plenty of menu options. indoor & outdoor seating, though indoor is limited. Plenty of parking. Family staff is very nice and welcoming; however, don't trust the younger daughters on spice level, they're immune to spice and will incorrectly judge your feeble spice tolerance, lol. Just kidding they're great but I was serious about your lack of spice tolerance, lol. No matter my shrimp vindaloo last time was still amazing. I would say definitely go here or order take out.Update: unfortunately Mother India has closed. However, there is another Indian restaurant that took the same location. So, if you're in Midtown/Leavenworth area stop by and try it out.

Their food quality is not good. I ordered rice and they were overcooked with water in them. The waiter was very clumsy and bringing orders. She got me a glass of water with water dripping from it. Not a hygenic place at all. Over-priced. In same price, there is authentic Indian food at other Indian restaurants in omaha like kurry express/ Indian bowl and others.
