As someone who works in the service industry, I always try to be patient when dining out. But the management at this restaurant completely ruined the experience.
From the moment we walked in this past weekend, the tone was off. The hostess was doing her job well. But a short, heavier-set woman, who appeared to be the manager and possibly Latina, was standing over her. She kept micromanaging and talking over her in front of customers. It felt unnecessary and uncomfortable to watch. If anything, the hostess seemed more capable and professional than (who I am assuming to be) the manager.
Once we were seated, the service didn’t improve. Our server, Kate, never introduced herself. I only found out her name by asking another staff member. She took our order, brought the food, and dropped off the check. That was it. No check-ins. No refills. No personality. Just the bare minimum.
The water was served room temperature with no ice. Since Kate never came back to check on us, I couldn’t even ask for ice until the end of the meal. That was just one more example of how little effort was put into making the dining experience feel welcoming or cared for.
While waiting on the check, I saw the same hostess from earlier bussing tables. Meanwhile, the manager just stood at the host stand doing absolutely nothing. She didn’t lift a finger to help. A good manager leads by example and steps in to support their team. This one clearly doesn’t. She chose the easiest job and let others run around cleaning up her slack.
They weren’t even busy. There was no reason for the service to be this poor. It’s not a staff issue. It’s a leadership issue. The staff looked unsupported and overwhelmed, and the management clearly doesn’t care.
The food was actually really good. That’s the only reason I’m giving this two stars instead of one. But no matter how good the food is the management needs to step it up. This restaurant has potential. But bad leadership is dragging the whole place down.

Solid atmosphere and delicious food. Food came out in a timely fashion and was quality. However, the service was disappointing. There were countless points of service that were blatantly missed, especially considering we were one of only five tables at the time. Our server missed all the cues and took twenty minutes to drop off the check. Meanwhile, a group of staff were huddled at the bar - ten feet away from our table - on their phones not aware of or willing to pick up the slack of our server. We will give Mula another try since we enjoyed the food and atmosphere, but if service is lacking again, we will not be coming back. Here's to hoping this lack of attention to details is remedied soon.

We were just told there would be a 45 minute wait. We decided to not wait and walked by 3 open tables, so my husband went back in to say something. As he went back in, another party in line after us got sat right away. When my husband asked if they had a reservation, the response was no, but “we just had something open up as soon as you left.” Discrimination at it’s finest, shame on this staff and establishment. Just disgusted!

We arrived on a Friday evening only had a 30 min wait. Once we sat and ordered the food did not take long at all. It was all really good, flavor and all. We ordered as it came on the menu and let’s just say some things have a little heat to it but it doesn’t linger it goes away after a few margaritas lol The atmosphere was ok, very loud acoustics, neat decor. Definitely a great place to enjoy a quick dinner and few drinks. Not a place to linger around … and maybe that’s the point ? Would definitely visit again.
Came here on a Friday night and surprisingly got sat within 10 minutes. They have nothing but hard surfaces, so the restaurant is incredibly loud. The service was quick as all the food appears mostly pre-made. This place is basically a poor rendition of Taco Co.
