It was our first time there and the older women working was very rude and inpatient when we asked any questions about the donuts. There were also a lot of flies locked up in the cabinet. Donuts were pretty good even though all the flies grossed us out, but regardless the service will keep us from going back! We were there a couple months ago just now got around to leaving the review.

Omaha lines up for Olsen Bake Shop even when it's single digits!!!! Olsen's deserves it all. We've had a lot of donuts, and none of them come close to Olsen's cake donut. Crispy on the outside & moist on the inside; they're absolutely perfect. These are the local places that need all our love!!! Simply the best!!!!

This shop is absolutely phenomenal!! The pastries and donuts are superb. The frosted croissant is magnificent. And the service and atmosphere is divine I strongly recommend that everyone must see and visit this place

Best Donuts in town! My favorite is the glaze and the cake donuts that has chocolate frosting and peanuts on top! Lovely family owned business this is a must stop if your just passing through Omaha, you won't regret it!

The only reason I gave them 1 star on service was the absolute RUDE and unnecessary comment made to me when I called the store. A line of over 25 people were waiting in the cold, I called in to ask when they would open since it was 15 minutes past the scheduled time and her response was: the longer we talk, the longer I will take to open. I thought that was such an inconsiderate comment to a customer who really enjoys their product.

Nice local doughnut shop, I got there around 9am but they were sold out of jelly doughnuts by that time. I got a small assortment of glazed doughnuts that were tasty. I will have to get there earlier for the jelly doughnuts next time.

I checked Reddit for where the best donuts in Omaha were and was told Olsen Bake Shop and I absolutely believe it. Their yeast donuts are divine. A little messy to eat because of how fresh they are but that's when you know it's good!!! I am not a fan of cake donuts generally and these are so good. They aren't too thick or cakey. I'm trying it the next day and it's soft and still light and absolutely rich and delicious. I got a dozen and had the woman who helped me give me a selection so I could figure out what we like. All I know is we want to try more!!! This will be added to our breakfast rotation. The price is comparable is a dozen donuts at Krispy or Dunkin but the quality makes it worth the 12 minute drive there versus a 3 minute drive. Thank you ladies. See you soon!
