I have wanted to check out Pageturners as I’m a big fan of Conor Oberst, but I had heard it had a “pretentious” vibe to it. At first it was very nice, but a friend of mine asked to play the piano and was told yes, just be respectful. They did just that, they played a few songs and wasn’t bothering anyone, even had applause from other guests. After 2 songs a man did come up and say he wasn’t allowed to be up there. Totally fine, he must have worked there, though was seemingly off the clock as he was drinking with friends. Shortly after we went to the patio and I overheard another off the clock bartender shit talking my friend, saying he wanted to “slam the piano cover on his hands”. And his friends saying he should have. Happy to say I didn’t spend any money here and will be telling others to not waste their time or money at this establishment. Such a shame as I really do respect Conor as a human and what he stands for.

This is a great bar. Stumbled into it from out of town, wish I was local cuz I'd come here all the time.
One of my favorite bars in Omaha for a low key atmosphere with a more creative and eclectic crowd. It's quiet unless it's a concert night and their drinks are reasonably priced.
