By far this restaurant Pho Viet, has better pho than ipho#1, the broth is so much more flavorful, compared to ipho#1 more bland broth. One thing is I'll say, is that if you care about the atmosphere, then this is not the place for you. Half of the seating area looks like a storage room and they could easily hide all of this with a floor to ceiling curtain but its all exposed to see. The man serving the restaurant watches TV with loud volume and with a high volume watching a video on his phone. They don't serve you water here, you have to serve yourself water from a cooler with a Styrofoam cup. If you care about the flavor food and can tune out the atmosphere, you'll be immersed in the flavors.

Edit 2024: return 7 yrs later and the food are still good. Tried the combination dry noodle dish this time and the grilled meat was very flavorful, highly recommend.
We came in right at opening hour so we were the only customers. It's a small restaurant run by husband, wife, and 2 infants. We ordered the springrolls, pho, and spicey beef broth. From these dishes, I have to say that it's the most authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Omaha. Compare to other restaurants, the pho and spicey beef broth here holds true to their flavors and does not require additional seasoning. For those who has tried pho in Lincoln, this is pretty darn close. The prices are slightly high for the quantity, but I wouldn't say expensive. Our final bill was under $25.
Pho Viet doubles as a daycare center.
While enjoying a bowl of great pho, the owner’s family younger son decided to come up to me, cough in my face and then tell me how I’m apparently funny.
On a serious note, the food is good, bordering on great, but the service and atmosphere is so poor that I can’t rate this establishment anything more than one star.
Bringing your young children to work to have them bother your customers doesn’t work for most customers. Basically I enjoyed kids yelling and grand parents making “beep beep beep” noises for the hour I was at this establishment.
The cleanliness of the establishment needs to be improved on. Basically the only clean seat is the Grand Parent’s fold up lounge chair.
Floor looks like it hasn’t been mopped in years with a layer of caked on dirt.
Kid-friendliness: Basically a Vietnamese Chuck E. Cheese’s where instead of a mouse it’s an old man yelling at kids in Vietnamese.

The service was amazing!! Unfortunately I did not have the best experience with the food or the atmosphere. The tables were not clean and also the woman’s restroom was disgusting.. the pho broth tasted like cinnamon water so I was really disappointed..

I’ve been looking for good Viet foods around Omaha, this is the spot right here, the food was good, atmosphere was reminding me of childhood in Vietnam whenever I go out to eat because of how much contrast the place is, their kids playing around, owner talking loud (not mad) and I’m here just eating the food the, I ordered Welldone Pho (brisket pho) the meat was just like butter, spices of the broth seeps into the meats.

Needs to be cleaner. They have also raised they're prices. The food is decent, but cleanliness and prices are too high.

I don't know how this place got 4 stars... might be from people who don't know any better but food was not good. Ordered Spring rolls, pho, claypot, vermicelli salad. I wasnt even looking to be impressed... just wanted a good meal & it did not deliver. Did not finish one dish.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Vietnamese restaurant and tried the Chicken Pho for the first time. As a newcomer to Vietnamese cuisine, I was eager to experience its flavors and traditions. The Chicken Pho did not disappoint; the soup was flavorful, aromatic, and had a wholesome, healthy feel to it. The broth was rich and savory, perfectly balanced with tender chicken pieces and fresh herbs.
However, there were a few aspects that could use improvement. The price of the dish was higher than what was listed on the menu, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant left something to be desired. The decor was not particularly stylish or inviting, and there's certainly room for enhancement in this area.
On a positive note, the food itself was unique and enjoyable. Alongside the Chicken Pho, I also tried the salad, which was fresh, crisp, and had a delightful mix of flavors. Despite some minor drawbacks, the quality and uniqueness of the food make this restaurant worth a visit. With a bit of attention to the pricing and ambiance, it has the potential to become a favorite spot for Vietnamese cuisine enthusiasts.
