Visiting from Texas and this food was so delicious. The rice and beans were cooked correctly. My chicken was flavorful. The cucumber yogurt side was a great addition. The only critique I gave was that the plantains were hard. Other than, almost perfection.
My husband had the pork sandwich without the arugula and he thought it was pretty good. And he's very picky so that's good. I ate my food too fast to get a picture. 😆

Honestly, I have eaten here various times and have struggled to even put into words WHY you NEED to try this place!

So here we go:
1. The sauces. The habanero sauce , the chimmichurri, the creamy white one (which name escapes me..) perfection. So much so that I take some home just to dip chips into (actually though)
2. The owners/creator Carlos Mendez is thoughtful about every ingredient and aspect of the meal. He is hands on in his businesses and is insightful on flavor and texture in every regard. It is incredible to eat food prepared and intentionally molded by an owner who truly cares.
3. The variety! You can build your bowls any way that you want. When you have peak tier ingredients, any way you decide to eat them is a mouthwatering dance. Don’t get too stuck on one thing! Try the potatoes , the carrots, the rice, the slaws, all the sauces, and then come back for more to try them in a slightly new coordination to tease your tastebuds.
4. As much as the United States is heavily impacted by Latin cultures, sometimes we lack in authentic flavors and representation. Supporting this business brings success to authenticity and invites more creators to share their culinary nuances in the heart of Omaha ! I’m happy Carlos has decided to continuously grow in our city, and hope to support the continuous stream of incredible talent and food into my hometown.

Good food, excellent service and staff were so helpful in explaining the menu to us as it was our first time. Black beans are flavorful, shredded beef was tender and well seasoned, rice is good. Highly recommend the creamy garlic sauce, especially with the fries. BBQ sauce was tangy and sweet and good on the beef. Friend had the sandwich, bread was well toasted and broccoli salad was surprisingly very good. Will definitely return.

Your kids won't like it. Simple rotisserie chicken and basic meats and sides. Plan on spending $20 for a basic chicken sandwich and fries. The other sides are types of salads or beans.

delicious food. That’s reason enough to go. But the service is also very kind and thorough and the ambience in the place is awesome. It’s full of mature plants and comfortable seating. And good people watching. But it’s delicious so just go.

I ordered the platter, comes with one meat and 3 sides. I went to check out and noticed they up charged for the 3 sides on top of the cost for the platter. Seriously the menu says all for one price. The staff was lost and confused doing their job and they clearly own the place….. I will never waist my time and money here again. Stay away let this place close, it’s not a mini mart where you change the prices at checkout…..
