I was in town for work for 3 weeks and stumbling into rookies after reading reviews one night was the best part of the whole trip! Every single person that worked or even walked into rookies was not only kind, but treated us like we were locals in the way everyone learned and remembered our names and it felt like a home bar that I’ve been going to for years. 10 out of 10. The food was phenomenal (get the fries), the setting was perfect, and once again just all around great people...
Came on a whim while I was staying in Omaha. This is definitely a neighborhood bar, but that’s what makes it unique. Neil who is the owner, Will the bartender, and all the patrons were super friendly. Even to an outsider.
First thing Neil did when I walked up to the bar was introduce himself because he didn’t know/recognize me.
Food was delicious. Got onion rings as my app and a mushroom Swiss burger with sweet potato fries. Everything was phenomenal.
