When I want a change from burgers and fries or TexMex I go to Runza. The fries are amazing, the perfect mix of crisp outside and chewy inside with just the right balance of flavor. The sandwich is satisfying and filling with a perfect blend of texture and flavors. I recommend trying Runza if you haven't eaten there before. It's a delicious break from the usual.
We got the temperature Tuesday deal: 2 runzas,2 fries,2 drinks. The runzas were not fresh which is surprising. The filling inside tasted old and the outside of the breading tasted stale. The service was great and the staff very friendly.
I gave four stars for each of the categories: food, service, atmosphere. But three stars because of the price. Got a plain Jane #1 Runza combo with medium drink and fries and ended up spending $12. Looks like I'll only be visiting the store in the month of January on temperature Tuesday when combos cost around $7. Or maybe never again since there are more affordable options nearby.
