The girl Daniela at the front has no customer service personality she’s not rude she is just not friendly does not have that waitress personality, there were a bunch of flies we could barely eat our food it was so annoying having flies stopping on our food, the food was amazing no complaints on the food but maybe a better location and they can do better

This is a cumulative review. I've been here with a friend, in a family group, alone, and for take out. Naughty Buddha Burger used to be next to it, but has closed down. It's a bit of aan interesting and sometimes marginal neighborhood at times but I have never had any trouble.
I LOVE Salmex! I was hesitant at first, but no longer. My favorite menu items are the PUPUSAS. There is a huge variety, including spinach, mushroom, chicken, bean, etc. They come with a vinegar cole slaw and hot sauce. If you are like me, you'll ask for the EXTRA HOT. The street tacos are good, and the guacaomole is freshly made. There is also a special Salvadoran Soup that I don't know the name of, but the cook gave us a sample. He said it was the kind of soup that took all day to make and was usually for Sunday dinner or holidays. We all loved it, but the memory is even more poignant because it was the last time I had latino food with my nephew, who passed away at age 42 a few months later from cancer.
I love the atmosphere. I love the fact that teenage Tonya is working the counter and helping the family. I love that you can see business people there and neighborhood people. The menu is in Spanish and sort of in English.
It is not a big place, but there is plenty of room. I saw one review that mentioned slow service, but I have never had that problem. That's one of the ways you can tell it is freshly made!
If you want to try something new, try Salmex. Unfortunately, I no longer want to try pupusas anyplace else!

Not sure where this one earns 4.5 stars. There was absolutely no service here. Waited long periods of time between option to order, refilling drinks, and getting a bill. Food was below average and in very small portions for the price. Also had a picture fall off the wall and almost hit me while eating. Would not recommend.

This place never has orders ready in a decent amount of time. Claimed to be very busy while 1 table and 2 dasher looked like. If thats busy and you cant handle the business dont have door dash app open. It has a negative inmapact on you, doordash, and your customer. Waiting over 15 minutes for an order thats only 5 dollars not including drive time isnt even minimum wage not to mention a good business understand the negative impact it has on all of us and accepts feedback instead of excusing poor customer service this is exactly why people do door dash customer service has really taken a hit now a days

Best pupusas in Omaha and it's not that close. Most authentic, and make you feel like you are eating them in El Salvador.
