My Thai grandmother passed away last year. This is the closest I’ve gotten to her flavor of beef salad since she’s passed. It brought back memories and I’m ever so thankful that I happen upon this place while traveling for work.

Ordered the basil fried rice, chicken satay, and mango rice.
Basil fried rice was absolutely tasteless and bland, just spicy, i knew i was gonna be disappointed when i opened the box and it just looked like plain white rice with seasoning and chicken in it.
Chicken Satay was okay i guess, pretty bland but that’s what the dipping sauce was for, to bad i didn’t like it, just ended up tearing it up and throwing it in with my fried rice.
Mango sweet rice didn’t taste fresh. Mangos were eh, mushy, the coconut milk was runny and tasteless, and the sweet rice was just not it. Definitely none of it was fresh and most likely came from a can.
For the price of 30ish dollars the portions were good, the food was just absolutely bland and tasteless. Was gonna give the pineapple fried rice a shot next but i don’t know lol
(I used to work at a thai/viet restaurant and while i understand places do things differently and i may have came in expecting to much, the food should at least taste like something.)

My sweet & sour chicken had maybe 2.5 ounces of shredded chicken in it & 1.lb of soggy vegetables. 10/10 don’t recommend.

This is my 2nd time having lunch at Tasty Thai Restaurant. Recommend to try Thai Cuisine in Omaha. Super delicious and just perfect because I live in Thailand and I know the taste. Delicious food; friendly service; clean dining room; overall a great place! My wife and I had the Cashew Chicken and the Yellow Curry. Both were excellent! We especially liked the brilliant colors and wonderful aroma of the Cashew Chicken dish.
