My waitress was amazing, food was amazing; taste, presentation, and how quickly they made it. Would definitely come back. Knocked 1 star off for service not because of my waitress, but because of the greeting/seating process; staff were standing around/visiting w/ each other, when one did break away to seat me he was impolite and curt with me.

Service was fast, food arrived quickly. I had chicken fried chicken. The chicken and mashed potatoes were very good, gravy was bland. My husband had the fish and chips, he said it was good but also a bit bland. Table next to us had breakfast food that looked great, will definitely try the breakfast.

We went to Shirley's Diner for breakfast for my husband's birthday today. I have to say I had a hard time picking what I was going to order because so many items looked so good! I settled on the Irish omelet and it didn't disappoint. It was packed with corned beef, onions, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese. The portion sizes were huge and well worth the price. My husband ordered the steak and cheese omelet. Loved it. My son had the corned beef Benedict and raved about it. We'll definitely be back!

I had been looking forward to going here for a very long time because I know the owner, and I went on a lunch date with my husband. We got there at noon and only had to wait 10 minutes, and the staff was lovely, but they were also slammed, So it took a while for us to get our meals. No big deal… We were expecting that. I wanted to like this so much, but I didn’t like what I ordered (chicken fried chicken). My husband, however, really liked his Philly cheesesteak. I would definitely go back, but would get something tried and true like a burger.
I got the Pork Schnitzel dinner, it was great and a very generous portion. I wish I had taken a picture but I was so hungry that I dug in right away. I will definitely be coming back, as I am in the area on Wednesday nights and need something to eat after a long day at work.

Ok. But nothing is outstanding about their menu. Very typical American breakfast fare. I had the waffles but they didn't have much flavor to them and were cool enough that the butter didn't melt thoroughly. My bacon was done to order (crispy). The corned beef Benedict hubby had was declared good but not great. His hasbrowns were ok, crispy on the outside but not creamy in the middle like a perfect dish in my opinion. Coffee was passable and plenty. The doorway we entered had some deteriorating concrete at the entrance which I found disturbing. If the visible parts of the building need maintenance it makes me wonder what the areas behind the scene are like.
